I wish to be hot like fire.
Not like an inferno,
that engulfs all in sight;
that's so out of control,
that it's rage consumes all.But like a candle,
that glows in the dark
like a spark of hope.
That enlightens everything,
as far as its reach goes.Like a fire lantern,
that reflects in their eyes;
that brings joy to their hearts;
that gives them hope,
which is all they need to heal,
when their insides bleed.Like a camp fire;
that is the centre of happiness;
that spreads its warmth in the cold,
That holds the people together,
without them knowing.They ask me then,
'Well arent's these getting old?
We don't need them now;
people will get bored.'I smile and I say;
not everyone deserves it,
only those with love in their eyes;
those who know how to cherish truly.And then they ask,
'Can't it, just as easily,
turn into an inferno;
that can only ruin and kill?'At them, I smile,
that's why the callous are not to play with it;
to them, I say,
For its glow can turn into a raging burn if they wish.This poem is dedicated to the fantastic journey of becoming Kay from Kathy.
