THE TRUTH BEHIND MARRIAGE

"CONGRATULATIONS!" They all shouted happily while watching us as we walk out of the Church, holding each other's hand, and smiling to all the people outside the church's door who attended this wedding.

I never thought that I would be in this situation where I will marry someone. For years I didn't pictured myself walking in an aisle, holding a white flower bouquet, wearing a vail and a wedding dress.

This isn't my dream at all.

Ngiti ng mga taong saksi sa pag iisang dibdib namin.

I am happy. I really am, not because I want this but because I can see that I didn't failed my mom and dad. I didn't failed as their only daughter. I didn't failed as their only heir.

I fulfilled my dream. To be a prefect daughter on the eyes of my mom and dad and everyone.

Lumapit sa akin si mama pag kalabas namin ng simbahan at niyakap ako.

"Congratulations anak." Mangiyak ngiyak niyang sabi at niyakap ako. "You always make me proud." Bulong niya bago humiwalay sa yakap. Wala akong ibang ginawa kundi ngumiti sa kanya.

"Iho." She faced my husband. "Please take care of my daughter, she's now yours." And hugged him. Wala din siyang ibang ginawa kundi ngumiti.

Busy naman si Dad sa pakikipag usap sa mga business man na inimbitahan niya sa kasal namin. Actually, wala akong kilala sa ibang mga imbitado. Puro business man and a few cousins na hindi ko naman close, but they are happy..for me I guess or for our business? Kasi mas makikilala na ngayon ang business namin dahil asawa ko na ang isa sa may pinaka may malaking negosyo sa pilipinas..and family of lawyers din.

Napaharap naman ako sa babaeng naka sandal sa wedding car namin, she didn't even look away, she didn't even smiled at me because she knew. She fucking new.

My only best friend is just staring at me like I did some fucking crime. Like I'm a criminal. Oh fuck you bitch.

Her sharp eyes, it went through me. Because She knows everything. She knows.
