Hesitantly she ran a hand through her hair. It wasn't the first time she had entered daycare, but each time the hair on her neck stood up. Somehow, the place emanated negative energies.

Working as a night guard was a real feat, you never knew what to expect and it was creepy. The flashlight in the girl's hand was out, the background song of the daycare made the place scary that was meant to entertain and make children laugh.

Her (e/c) eyes scanned the multicoloured slide in front of her while the happy soundtrack played in the background. It almost sounded catchy. Almost.
"They don't pay me enough for this..." the young adult said, she positioned herself at the entrance to the slide and took a deep breath. "It's now or never" she thought and then slid down, all those colors reflecting off her skin were giving her a slight headache.

Luckily for her, the lights were still on, but she still hadn't memorized the timer on the daycare's electrical system. As she expected, she stepped out of the slide and into the oversized tub of colored balls. Too many colors for her liking. She brought her (e/c) eyes to the elevated balcony, expecting a certain animatronic to emerge from there. But nothing happened.

"That's strange...he should be here by now." The sound of moving balls caught her attention, and with a lightning impulse she turned her head towards the source of the sound. Something under the balls moved again, and faster and faster it began to approach the young adult. A sense of anguish and fear took hold of the young person. By now she was immobilized, unable to move.

Long, robotic arms laced around her waist, lifting her into the air causing a small yelp to escape her lips. "(Y/n), you've finally arrived! I've been waiting for you! I can't wait to spend some time with you" said the animatronic as he stepped out of the ball pit.

Still in the air, the young adult intimated the animatronic to set her down on the ground and thankfully he listened. "What were you planning to do Sun?" asked the security guard looking at the sun-animatronic also waiting for an answer. Immediately his expression lighted up and giggling he started talking. "I was thinking about doing some art and craft. It's been a long time since we've done it together..." she smiled sweetly and nodded in approval.

But before they could reach a small table the lights suddenly went out, surprising her. It wasn't the first time something like this had happened, but each time she never knew what to expect.

The daycare was now bathed in absolute silence. "Sun...? Moon...? Where you?" asked them while looking around for the animatronic. Moon was so quiet and stealthy, he always knew how to scare others and he took pleasure in doing so.

Suddenly a pair of hands positioned themselves on the young adult's hips lifting her into the air catching her off guard. A scream escaped their lips. A chuckle echoed in her ear. (Y/n) watched as the ground receded further and further from beneath their feet. Moon knew perfectly well that she was afraid of heights. A frighteningly huge fear.

"Hello darling~. How you doing today?" The security guard couldn't speak, her gaze fixed downward. Of course Moon noticed. "Starlight?" The two of them reached the small balcony above the ball pit and Moon was finally able to look them into their eyes.

The color from her face was gone, her eyes stared blankly, and her body was obviously trembling. When the animatronic laid a hand on her shoulder, she flinched, fear in her eyes.
"(Y/n)...?" They tried to formulate a sentence, but only disconnected phrases came out of her mouth. Now the animatronic was starting to worry.

It was not his intention to scare her to death, nor to scare her regardless. "Hey hey starlight, please look at me..." the moon said cupping her cheeks with both his hands. Hesitantly, the night guard lifted their gaze, locking it with that of the animatronic. The moon gently caressed their cheek.

Finally, the young adult broke free. From her eyes spilled rivers of tears that had been held back until now. They flowed quickly down her cheeks reddened from crying and soon her eyes turned red as well. "F(uc)k..." said the moon with a buzz in his voice, in order to censor the swear.

Cautiously Moon hugged the small figure of the girl, being careful not to startle her further. He felt how the girl at his touch trembled slightly.

His grip was strong and the girl at his touch seemed to calm down, but the sobbing did not seem to stop. "Don't cry..." she only looked and him with big tears eyes. "I told you to not lift me up! You know how scared I am of heights! But you didn't listen to me!" Screamed the girl without raising her voice too much.

Moon was fully aware of her fear. And yet he decided to joke with her. He could never forgive himself, and he could already hear Sun scolding him.  "Moon why did you do that?! Now they're going to hate us forever! FOREVER" shouted Sun nervously. The girl was still crying  and clinged tighter on Moon's arms, like she was scared she fall if she let go of him. 

"Please, please, please forgive me (Y/n)...I'm truly sorry, I will never scare you again. Just please don't leave me..." he hid his face in the crock of the girl's neck. The animatronic's voice was nervous and seemed like he was pleading, almost begging. He didn't want to stay alone again. He was scared of being alone.

The soft hands of the young adult slowly cupped Moon's face, moving it out of the crook of her neck and making their gazes cross. The girl's eyes were red and her cheeks were streaked with tears now dried. But on her face there was a sweet smile, which made Moon's eyes widen.

A light kiss was placed on Moon's cheek.
"I forgive you. I can't stay mad at you" "I love you so much Starlight. So so much."
