I just couldn't explain what had happened. I could only think about that letter and the time we spent a month ago in Mexico.
Everything seemed like a fairytale. The long beach walks, where we would hold hands and run into the ocean were like a dream, from which I would never want to wake up. When we would return to the hotel people would smile seeing us soaked in water and laughing. That was the happiest I've ever been. That was when I felt most alive. I knew that I wanted to build a home and live with her until death would tear us apart. No, even after death I would want to be with her, no matter body or soul.
'I told you everything I know. What else do you want from me ?!'
'Sir, I get that you must be in shock due to the circumstances , but I would like you to cooperate in order to solve this case.'
'She went missing, after I acted like an idiot for letting her go to the town square all alone. She never came back.'
I keep remembering her opening the door and waving with a soft smile on her face...That night I also got a letter saying "We are all waiting for you". There were some letters and numbers cut from a newspaper in a random order. I had no idea what those meant. I hired a private detective to investigate and dig deeper and deeper...since the police is no help.
'Mr. Samael, I think that I found something.'
'What is it that you found ?'
'A phone call'
'From whom exactly ?!'
'It's a private number.But I also found some text messages..threatening Leah.'
I was terrified of the idea of never seeing her ever again and it was my fault. I was completely lost and the police and private detective couldn't find any solid leads. I decided to invastigate myself and find some connection to the past events and the meaning of the letter.
I finally found an old abandoned mental illness institution in Sinaloa which had been closed in 1984. Putting the letters and numbers from the letter in some kind of order , helped me find that out. I haven't been sleeping for days and at last I got a lead. A real solid one. When I arrived there , it was nighttime and I couldn't really see anything but I still managed to get in the building. There were weird background noises but I couldn't hear them. I was like a dead but living creature. I went to the first floor and started searching for clues. I opened a wooden door and I collapsed on the floor.
It was Leah.DEAD !
In a horrible chair which looked like it was made to torture people with spikes and chains. I ran out to her and I got on my knees begging for forgiveness...but she couldn't hear me. Now I felt dead inside and out...
As tears fell to the floor like rivers I said out loud :
'If we can not be together in this life , then maybe we can be happy in the after life'
