Chapter 1

n a command of 1, 2 , 3 ; Johnny's necklace shown more than the rising sun in the early mornings of renown good days. It was so shiny that his pupils could not withstand its aching radiance. As the old man cracked his ribs in ecstasy, he said another weird word 'Brakata'. In a jiffy, the shining necklace began raining gold. As if programmed, the people who were deemed to be the old man's workers took charge and made sure that all the raining gold were

perfectly collected in aesthtically colored and structured buckets and baskets.

Afterwards, the old man uttered words of blessing in a meany deemed voice and matrimonitically united John and Annie as husband and wife. Without much ado, the old man got up his retchy seat struggling and nicely put the necklace which was still on John's neck inside another golden box from his immediate right hand side.

Take this gold, enrich yourselves and do not put back passing everything you have heard and seen to your coming generation . The door was opened with the pace of a dying tortoise, Johny with the bucket of gold and Annie with the basket of gold on both their right hands. Holding hands, they angellically walked out of the old man's hut . Morning had dawned. The sun was shining more brighter than ever before.

Could it be because of the blessing they had received or the summer was nigh? However much they tried to deduce whatever was going on, they seemed to be

getting lost further. Thus they decided to just keep walking towards the exit of the forest. Like Karma states everything happens for a reason and a purpose. All their troubles especially for Johny were just leading him it to his form of paradise where life could be more utopic and fulfilling than the years when he was struggling with university and the general American lifestyle.

Stomping along the dusty road under the amazing sun, they heard a sound of an old, weary generator approaching. Immediately Annie turned, she met face to face with a lorry whose lifespan was sufficient to get questioned. The tires were similar to the ones father Abraham could have used instead of struggling with the donkeys. With Valor, Johny flagged it down. The driver being an old man obviously could not assume those he deemed to be his grand children. Oops old drives old. From the look of things, this old man was so fit to be called the grandfather of both Johnny and Annie given that his grey hair was almost bidding bye to his head and the wrinkles on his face could easily injure a fly.

Annie sat at the rare seat with the treasures as Johnny kept company with the old driver as a co-driver.The journey to Victoria seemed to be taking ages but the slow and sure ideaology always works. Sooner than later, the truck was in Victoria City. The landscape of the city and the presence of the truck were as different as cheese from eggs. Cordially, Annie showered the old man with gratitude but unfortunately were not willing to give out their gold.

Annie in her university knew that Victoria was a city of gold and knew where to take the gold from her photographical memory. She led Johny towards a certain office of which they were thoroughly checked by stern security before entry. Getting inside the office, they presented their gold of which it was exchanged

with a trillion dollars based on the quality and quantity of the gold. The huge sum of money almost made Johny faint but he could not die and leave all the luxuries which to now was flodding his newly formed credit cards and bank accounts. The first thing they did on walking out of the building as rich as Croesus was purchasing new clothes and booking air tickets to South Africa.

For now, they did not board just an airplane but a private jet of which only the two of them travelled or rather flew while making stories at how their lives had changed and luck had hit them with a fantastic and glamarous luck. In Johannesburg, Annie collected her items especially her certificates and again the trip was not over.
