Chapter 5: Blockade Breaker

Sakura Empire

"Welcome back Akagi." Greeted Kako. 

"Good to see you." She replied. 

"Did anything important happen while we were away?" asked Kaga. 

"No, but Nagato wishes to speak with you Akagi." Kako answered. 

"Thank you, I will report to her now." 

As Ayanami walked off to find her sister destroyers, 2 other carriers walked over to where Shoukaku and Zuikaku were currently. 

"Excellent work." Souryuu said. "I'm glad you returned in one piece. 

"Oh, you wouldn't believe it Souryuu," Said Shoukaku. "Our elders are so rash. Why are leaders so demanding?"  

The two of them began to talk for a bit, but the Hiryuu turned to Zuikaku, who was silent and deep in thought. 

"Something the matter Zuikaku?" She asked. 

"Huh?" Zuikaku replied. "Everything's fine. Don't mine me." Her thoughts then turned back to her fight with Y/N. What reason would he have to spare me? She thought. 

"Are you alright?" Asked Souryuu. 

"I'm fine." Replied Zuikaku. 

"What I don't understand is why that human spared her." Shoukaku said. 

"What do you mean?" Hiryuu asked. 

"She engaged a human in combat. What confuses me is that he possesses more power than a human should have." 

"He?"  

"Yes, the human is male." Explained Zuikaku. "I challenged him to a duel, and he beat me with ease. And yet, I feels as if he didn't use all his power." 

"I see..." Hiryuu was silent for a second, then continued. "It would be best if we inform Lady Nagato about this, given the fact he is capable of defeating one of our strongest." 

"Are you speaking of the human male?" Asked Kaga as she walked over. "You had an encounter with him as well?" 

"Yes," Zuikaku replied. "He was able to single handedly defeat me in swordplay." 

"I see. I also do believe it would be best to inform Lady Nagato of this." Kaga agreed. "If he is able to take on and destroy my fox is seconds, and you in swordplay, then we are dealing with a much more deadly enemy than we thought." 

"What confuses me is why he would spare an enemy life." Said Hiryuu.

 Kaga turned to Zuikaku. "He spared your life?" 

She nodded. "After he disarmed me, he gave back my sword and left, as if it were a mere spar." 

Kaga nodded, and her thoughts turned to him. Just why would you spare an enemy? And what more are you capable of? 

Azur Lane Base

Academy Meeting Room

"The Dragon Empry detected suspicious activity by the Sirens." Ping Hai explained. They were in the meeting room while her sister, Belfast, Vestal, Hornet, Cleveland, Wales, and Y/N sat around a table. "We thought it might be a sigh that they were preparing to a massive attack and went out on a scouting mission to try and find out more, but.." 

"There was a massive fleet waiting for us, led by a high class Siren." Ning Hai finished. "We fought as hard as we could, but we were no match. If it was not for Enterprise and Y/N, we would have likely been sunk."
