Unwanted Heroes

Chapter 1

While walking the streets of Los Angeles, I notice the siren of a nearby bank go off but no one's trying to stop the guy, it's normal for that to happen. But then, out of nowhere, someone tried to stop the guy. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have done that, it was the right thing to do. But then, out of nowhere lightning came out of the robber's hand! I thought that I was the only person with some sort of power. If you are wondering what I am talking about, I can explain it for you; I have both fire and teleportation powers. I can manipulate and produce fire with my hands and I can teleport wherever I please, as long as I know where I'm going, so like an example would be from school to home. I don't use my powers much, my mom told me to not use it unless it is a last case scenario thing or if I'm around people I trust . When I realized what I saw was in fact real, I saw the guy running off. When I talk about running, I'm talking about running like a cheetah can.
I grabbed my hoverboard out of my backpack, unfolded it, and started to chase the guy. If I didn't catch him, I'd remember what he'd look like to tell someone, if they would care to stop him. I chased him into a dead ended alleyway, and when I think I got him so that he can return what he stole from the bank, I didn't see him. Then, I felt a shock of electricity from the back of my shoulder. "It burns, it's burns so much" I think to myself. I turn around and stand face to face with the guy. He laughs at me and says how come a kid like myself tries to stop him. Ok, first of all I'm 16. 16 for gods sake! I closed my eyes and started to tell him to bring whatever he stole back to the bank but when I opened my eyes, he was gone. "Ugh!" I groan out, how could I be so stupid as to close my eyes! "I should head back home," I think, "it's getting late and mom must be worried sick." I pick up my hoverboard and ride it back to my apartment complex.
