Wanting to truly test the extent of this power, Deku decided to be a little more bold.
"Well, first I just wanted to do a sort of psychology experiment. Ms. Midnight gave it to me specifically for some extra credit. I'm just going to say some phrases, and you'll let me know how they make you feel."
Momo thought a moment, not certain why Deku had asked to study if this was his intention.
"Come on Momo. I could use some help with this!" he said, invoking her previous trigger.
"Well, if you say so. I'd be happy to help! What's the first phrase?"
Deku smiled as he looked Momo square in the eyes
"No more IQ" he said simply. As he did, Momo's eyes faded from their usual, alert appearance to a more dull sight. She looked about with seemingly no idea what was happening or where she was.
She squatted down, looking around. She shuffled over to her bed and tugged on the blankets.
"Uungh?" she questioned as she gave it a more potent tug, sending the blankets and pillows scattering across the room. She started leaping around excitedly.
"Uugh! Uungh! Oof!"
She felt the tug of her clothing and looked down. She gripped the collar of her shirt and sniffed it.
