4. I miss you. Do you?

CHAPTER 7

The phonecall

~♪바람이 분다 노을이 지고

운명이 우릴 멀게만 해도

시간흐르고 지나간 자리 길다♪~

(The wind is blowing and the sun is setting. Although fate is making us grow farther apart. Time is flowing and the past is getting deeper...)

Jaejoong sang melodiously as he flopped back onto his bed. He then stared blankly at the celling above him for awhile.

"I miss you..." Jaejoong whispered before scrolling through the photos in his phone.

"Ahh..." He enlarged the photo of him and yunho on his 23rd birthday. There was cream all over his face and yunho was smiling cheekily beside him. "Ahh...that stupid guy." He shook his head silently.

Jaejoong continued to view more photos of him and yunho... By the beach in Saipan, random photos taken in their dorm, a photo of them making funny faces, and many others.

"Stupid fat ugly guy." Jaejoong cursed, "I miss you. Don't you miss me? Can't you just give me a call? Seriously. I thought you liked me? More than a friend right? Well, I like you too and I want to be with you. So can you please..."

"~pick up the phone! Pick-ka-ka-ka-up the phone-oh-oh~"

Jaejoong froze. He stared at the caller ID.

"-UKNOW I DONT KNOW YOU-"

Yunho's contacts used to be

"Darling yunho♡"

"Handsome yunho☆"

"My best friend♡"

And many others along that line. However, after that rainy night, jaejoong felt so hurt and upset, he felt as if yunho was a whole new person. Jaejoong rubbed his eyes in disbelief and read the caller ID again.

"-UKNOW I DONT KNOW YOU-"

"WHAT?" Jaejoong panicked, "why is he calling, what am I supposed to say? What does he want???"

Not knowing what to do, jaejoong let the phone ring and ring. Finally, the call ended. Jaejoong let out a sigh of relief.

"Wait. Didn't I want him to call me?" Jaejoong ruffled his own hair and jerked up to sit on the bed. "What's wrong with me? I'm really girly..." He admitted. "Fickle minded... Oh fickle minded boojae..." He pouted sadly.

"~pick up the phone! Pick-ka-ka-ka-up the phone-oh-oh~"

The phone rang once more and jaejoong jumped, surprised.

"Acckkkk! It's that yunho again!" He immediately got to his feet and answered the call.

"Hello?" Yunho's voice was sweet and sincere.

"AHHH...I miss his voice so bad..." Jaejoong thought as he started hopping about excitedly. There was so many things he wished to tell yunho. How he knows yunho likes him, how he misses him so much... How he wouldn't mind spending his whole life with him...

"Hello??" Yunho asked with a concerned voice when jaejoong didn't reply.

"Ahh..hello...hhh..how are you?" Jaejoong stammered, "Yunho ah... "

Jaejoong's mind was in a mess.

"I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN A SCRIPT BEFORE TALKING TO

HIM..." Jaejoong thought as he stomped his feet in regret.

"Hello?" Yunho asked again.

"Hello..." Jaejoong replied, his voice shaking.

-silence-

"Ahhahaha..." Yunho laughed awkwardly, breaking the silence at last. Jaejoong frowned a little. "Yes? Why did you call?"

"Hmm...I just called to see if you are doing fine jaejoong ssi." Yunho replied formally.

"Jaejoong ssi? SSI?" Jaejoong wondered to himself. "Why so formal? What happened to the 'boojae' and 'JAE' or just 'yah' ?!!" He sighed.

"Yeah I'm fine..." Jaejoong pretended to laugh.

"Oh that's great... Have a nice day then jaejoong ssi..."

The call ended.

"Wow." Jaejoong rolled his eyes. "Wow. That was the BEST conversation we ever had." He said sarcastically.

-the other side-

"What's wrong with me..." Yunho grumbled. "Wanted to tell him how's everything so far...wanted to tell him how we should meet up... Wanted to tell him so many things..." Yunho sulked. "Aish, whatever."
