i usually don't go to parties and spend my friday nights at home chilling but madi is making me go to a party with her.madi was always the more sociable.she could make friends very easily,she was talkative.while on the other hand i was the total opposite.i had a few people i hung out with and i was happy with it.
"amelie,are you ready?"madi asked as she walked into my room."almost,i just gotta put my shoes on.''i said as i was putting my shoes on.as soon as i was ready we headed out since we were already late.
once we got there,madi pulled my hand and took me to a group of people."guys,this is amelie also known as my best friend.amelie this is emma,olivia and isla""nice to meet you"all of them said at the same time."nice to meet you too"i replied trying to be nice"do you wanna stay with us or do you wanna walk around"madi asked not wanting to force me into hanging out with people i just met."i'll just walk around and i'll call you if i need anything"i replied
we said goodbye to each other and i walked outside to the padio.i sat on a hanging chair and chilled on my phone for about 15 until i felt presence behind me."i see your having a great time too."a guy voice said.next thing i know a guy was sitting in the chair next to me.i turned around and saw a guy about my age."yup"i replied not knowing what to say."well how did you get here then?""my best friend dragged me here if not i would be watching netflix right now.""same here,my brothers dragged me here"he anwserd keeping eye contact the whole time."amelie"i said putting my arm in front of him to shake."christopher but call me chris"he said while shaking my hand.
"so amelie,tell me something about yourself"he continued."well,my name is amelie,i'm 16 turning 17 in a month.i'm an only child but i consider my best friend my sister"i replied"tell me something interesting about yourself,something you usually don't say to other people when you first meet them""i met you 5 minutes ago"i say rising my eyebrow."you're no fun"he says finally removing his gaze from me and resting his back on the chair.i did the same thing and we sat like that in silence but not an awkward one but a comforting one for about half an hour until madi came to check on me"amelie,where have you been this whole time,i've been looking for you the past 10 minutes""i was here the whole time,when can i leave anyway.i came here so technically i kept my promise."you can leave now but could you maybe call an uber cause i wanna stay a little longer"madi said hoping i would say yes."sure i'll text you when i get home"and with that madi was back in the house dancing with her boyfriend."do you want my brother to take you home.he is the only one who has his permit"chris asked."no need but thanks for asking"i say politely."well then i guess see you around town""see you"i say back while walking back to the house.once i was out i called an uber and it came in a few minutes.as soon as i arrived home i texted madi that i was home.my parents weren't home since they were on a work trip so i was home alone.as soon as i locked my house i took a shower and went on my phone for a bit and went to bed.
