After a short drive, you and Michael finally arrive at the cinema. You start making your way to the entrance. You can't help but feel your stomach turn. Is this a bad idea? Everything has been so off, and you cannot keep your mind off the hotel, and in Michael's apartment.
Your thoughts get cut off when you hear Michael speak. God, everything about Michael somehow made you feel better. He was so sweet, caring, and comforting. You could go on for hours about him.
"Y/n, you ok?" He asks, with concern in his voice.
You answer with a quick nod. "It's supposed to be a good movie, or so I heard." Michael grins, and offers you his arm as you both walk in.
"Wow, this place is huge!" You shout, before quieting down, so you don't get kicked out. The roof was very high, and it was a vast place. The walls were black, and they had this shiny, spacey-looking tile on the ground.
You grab Michael's hand and start your way to the cashier to grab your snacks, and tickets. You and Michael order everything, and go sit down. "Y/n! Look over there; they have a ton of arcade games!" Michael passes a glance at his watch, and then looks back to you.
It's only 7:26, and, frankly, you've been eyeing down the games as well. "Of course. Cmon! Let's go buy some arcade coins." Michael's eyes lit up as you grabbed his hand, pulling him away to play at the arcade.
You start playing the games together, and are having a great time. You approach a shooting game, and slip a few coins in. Michael watches as you shoot every target on sight, but you notice something different.
A bunch of black pixels start taking over your screen. Your stomach starts to turn again."W-weird. Must be out of order or something..."
Michael passes a confused look and responds. "Y/n, what do you mean! Keep going! Nothing is wrong with your screen. Nooo! You're going to die!" Suddenly the cinema music, and Michael's voice got quieter. You can only hear yourself breathing.
The walls around you start to melt, and it all goes dark. But, it was a different dark this time. It was like you were in a dream. You jump, surprised to hear a voice, in the open, endless void. "He hasn't told you... has he?"
Was that a child's voice? "Told me what... who are you? Where am I?" Another voice joins in, only this time low and husky. "Evan, no need to worry... I always come back."
"Evan?! Who's Evan? What is this place!" You hear the low voice start to chuckle. And suddenly, the cinema music is back, and you're standing in front of the stupid arcade game again. You only now realize that the wind has been knocked out of you, but you haven't fallen like someone stole your breath away.
"Y/n? Hey... Y/n are you ok?" It takes you a minute to respond, but you finally manage.
"Y-yup... Um, bathroom. I'll be back soon." You quickly hurry over to the bathrooms, tripping and stumbling only over yourself. Ok... something is wrong. I have to tell Michael. After the movie. This is all so unsettling. You take a few minutes to regain yourself and your breath, and head back out to the large cinema.
"Sorry about that, Michael... Um, girl issues." He looks at you, with concern for a moment, but then relaxes.
"Whatever you say. Now, let's go watch this movie." He takes your hand, and you both get your popcorn, and arrive at your seats.
The movie starts with a girl screaming bloody murder, as she runs away from the wave of brain-eating zombies. She leaps onto an ice cream truck and somehow now has a bat. You roll your eyes. "Ugh, this is not how to survive a zombie apocalypse." You whisper to yourself.
You watch the movie, bored out of your mind. You knew that this is how all apocalypse movies go. "She should just kill herself," you say, absent-minded. Michael turns toward you.
"Y/n, seriously, are you ok? I'm concerned." You suddenly got very angry at him, but decided to play it off cool.
"Yeah, sorry. So grumpy with this new sleep schedule." Michael laughs, and you both continue to watch.
You get the weird feeling in your stomach, yet again. Omg, seriously? You think to yourself, honestly done at this point. Ok, do your thing. Go ahead, scare me. I'm used to it by now. But, nothing happened. Except, the movie screen froze, and so did time.
Everybody was frozen in time, and you just sat there, confused. Suddenly, the cinema lights go crazy. The screen makes a horrible tearing sound, and you quickly lookup. The words "STAY AWAY" ripped through the screen.
You jump out of your seat, prepared to run. "Fuck," You whisper to yourself, in your shaky, scared voice.
However, you notice something slowly, mechanically walking up the theatre's steps, making its way gradually closer to you. "Hey, wait... that... that's Chica? Only this animatronic was practically ripped apart, had more teeth, and way it was scarier, and intimidating."
Its steps started to slowly gradually gain speed towards you. Once it locks eyes with you, you only then realize it's after one thing; you.
