"My, my. Evangeline," his majesty's voice purred in her ear "what would it take to make you mine forever?"

Disgust automatically creeps it's way on her face. Through a stiff jaw she makes it clear, "With all due respect your highness, keep your hands away from me. I do not want to stir trouble. Ears are always listening."

A low, deep chuckle erupts from his mouth. "Please, you amuse me. Why don't you come with me, back into my palace. Become my betrothed."

Almost snapping,"I don't want to leave my home, my family. I believe the royal life isn't fit for me, I'm a village girl. Don't you despise my people?"

The air went silent. Her small cabin in the outskirts of the village seemed to creak. Her parents travelled to a near kingdom, hoping to sell silks and jewelry. Evangeline has been stuck keeping track of the small tent set-up by the town square selling the same goods.

Unfortunately, the young King Ambrose Leonard Annora as been seeking her hand for months. For an unidentified reason, her parents refuse, stating we didn't need his riches to get by, even in the hardest winters. Evangeline hated the fact he wanted her, she was too young and wanted more freedom than closed castle gates.

"Evangeline Alwyn. You bare the name as the most cherished woman of our Annora Western Kingdom. I do despise your people, but how can I ever seek distaste towards you? Your beauty and wit are just what I need to bare my heir." A sly smirk grows on his lips.

She bites down on her jaw, fighting the urge to slap him.

"If that's all, please leave. Your knights are frightening the small children that play in the meadow. They tell me themselves, just a week ago you started bringing bigger troops to accompany you. Poor children don't deserve to see what guards do with their weapons when someone gets too close." Ice slowly tracing every word.

His highness lets out a small grunt and pushes his light hair away from his sage green eyes. Turning away, he gives one more glance to the girl then steps out. Like usual, she sees to it that he orders his troops down the path, not turning back.

Sighing, the beauty walks toward the small hill by her home. Admiring the tiny flowers, green lush grass, bees doing their part for nature, and of course the blaring sun in clear skies. What a perfect day. It's sad to see how wonderful this world is and yet the gruesome task of living still haunts people.

Reaching a tree at the top, Evangeline sits down against it. Her mind trying to think of something. Surprisingly, nothing comes to mind.

"Order the troops to arm themselves. I want to save more people. The king is becoming more infuriating everyday, I need to get to the bottom of why his royal ass is being such a tyrant." Cynthia rants, walking toward her quarters.

Her right-hand man nods and rushes to grab the announcement horn. Blaring it for a couple of moments, he waits until everyone's attention is on him.

A booming voice echoes through the large hideaway,"The general Cynthia Ana Nash orders all rebellion soldiers to arm themselves. Our destination is the Western Kingdom. This announcement was told from second in command, Orvyn Randolf."

When the announcement finished, everyone scattered. Both men and women of strong build walked to the weaponry. Children watched from afar, admiring the armor and weapons they dreamed of wielding.

This hideaway is special, it was never found by normal folks. It's entrance can only open if one is given a precious stone, olivine. The mysterious green should reflect on the caves walls. Only then, the cave will light up the path to Cynthia's Rebellion. They live in the treetops, mountains covering the vast area. No human has ever climbed them, it would be suicide. They built homes, sturdy and filled with traps. Children are taught about them, no accidents happen. Cynthia made sure of it, she founded the area, rescinding the people that inhabit the area now.

"Orvyn!" A delicate but demanding voice calls.

Not a few minutes pass until a large silhouette lingers in the room, "You called Miss?"

"No need for formalities, we're friends Ory." A tiny smile reaches both their faces. They were friends since birth, ran away to form a world without the rule of royals. Many think they have romantic feelings for each other, yet they see the other as siblings. Orvyn is rumored to already have an eye for a woman.

Soon, the girls face turns stern, "But, that isn't why I summoned you. Are the troops back from scouting?"

Orvyn's head tilts down, "The mountains are ruthless, poison at every corner. Snakes, spiders and plants waiting to kill you. If we didn't have the medicine they would've died. The air is too thin, while fighting off wolves they'd choke. Couldn't find the time to breathe. It was a little bold to send your best soldiers, they're injured and can't come for our rescue today."

"I see. As we expected, these mountains protect us, but it's dangers are still harmful. I need you to stay here.  I trust you will keep the children away from the weapons."

A light chuckle escapes Orvyn's mouth. The children are of course taught how to use them, but that isn't the biggest problem. They're all decorated with the green stone. When the soldiers  return from battle, it causes a beautiful glow in the cave, something peaceful to see after victory. If the children use the weapons glow in the cave, they might find themselves dead by the forest and mountains.

"I'll keep them locked away. I wish you safety today, the king has growing troops since last year. Been a while we haven't caused trouble."

Cynthia smirks and sends him away. I wonder if his ass has finally found a queen. It would be unfortunate for her. Unless, it's another bitch.  It'll be best to serve her a peaceful end. A quick slice to the neck should do it.

Laughing, the general finally prepares for the days battle.
