Eden hopped on a train to eastern Europe, taking the train to southern Transylvania, Romania, which took one day. There lived a man whom Eden met in college, he was an expert in asian culture, myths, legends and so on, but met a beautiful romanian girl and moved with her in a village in the middle of nowhere in Transylvania.
At his arriver, a villager noticed Eden, who was wearing a hat trying to hid the colour of his skin and the fact he looked very skinny.
-Stafie! Stafie! the villager yelled in fear and ran.
Eden was confused, but didn't bother to think about it too much and moved on. But later, on his way to the man's house, a woman also noticed him.
-Pleacă d'aici stafie! Întoarce-te la diavol de unde ai venit. Pleacă din al nost oraș! the woman said and started praying in her language.
Eden noticed she used the same word as the man earlier: Stafie. This surely is not just a coincidence and it was something they were calling him. He appeared as something that they know of, as Eden thought to himself.
Eden arrived at the man's house, he could hear the villagers in the back whispearing the word he heard before, they were whispearing "stafie" when looking at him and mumbling things about him in their language. He knocked on the door and there was the man he was looking for, opening the door, wearing a beige nicely maintained costume and a goatee, having bright red hair. His name was Thomas Walsh.
-Hello, Thomas, Eden said.
-Do I know you? Thomas asked.
-Yes, I'm Eden Bogedael, we met in college.
-Oh wow, you... changed. A lot.
-Can I come in?
-Yea, sure, come!
Eden entered inside the livingroom and it was cosy with bear skin on the floor as a carpet and an ox head on the wall next to a lynx head and a boar head.
-I hunted them all with my own gun, said Thomas. The bear was a real strugle. He almost killed me even.
-So let's get to why I am here.... I need your help.
-Yea, I can tell you need help. Your skin is blue. You should see a doctor!
Eden lied about a story about an ancient chinese curse and thats the reason why he needs to find the Gold of Mizrakh.
-Don't you tell me fiction, Eden! There is no way that legend of the Gold of Mizrakh is real!
-My skin is fucking blue and my fat keeps burning, yelled Eden. I look like a fucking corpse.
-Ok... the legend of the Gold of Mizrakh it's a jewish rare legend. There exists only one known document about this legend, and it happends that I have a copy of it. Mizrakh means "east" in hebrew, but nobody ever thought it's in China, so how do you know it's in China?
-Um... lucky guess.
-If it's indeed in China... the legend says that the gold is kept under the sea... so probably the yellow sea. And also... the document has a line of a coastline drawn and an X nxt to it. People thought this was a bad drawing of the coast of the Arabian Peninsula and tried digging for it there... but maybe it's the coast of China...
Thomas goes to his office and takes a thin sheet of paper with the drawing he talked about earlier with the X and puts it on top of a map of Asia.
-There! It fits perfectly, he said in shock.
-So it's inside the Taiwan Strait, Eden adds.
-We go on a journey to China!
The two pack their stuff and went off to take a plane to Hong Kong, and then they hopped on a train.
-I have a question, Eden spoke.
-What is it? Thomas asked.
-Those villagers, were calling me something. They were repeating the word... stow-fee-yeh?
-Stafie?
-Yes, that. What does it mean?
-Specter or ghost.
-Specter? That sounds like a cool name. Eden the Specter! Yes, I like it. I am now... The Specter!
-I would say "ghost" is a better translation for "stafie", thinking about it.
-I don't care, "specter" sounds better.
-Don't be so childish. You don't know what awaits you in there. The legend talks about having stone soldiers guarding the treasure and saying that they are invincible. You might die.
-I don't think so, I think I know what I'm doing.
-Famous last words.
-Have more hope for me.
-I'm being realistic... though none of these seem real to me.
-Snap back to reality then.
The two arrived in the city of Xiamen and went to get a ferryboat to the island.
Meanwhile Minofrourus was already there and saw the two men buying a ticket to the island, thus the angel did this as well and went on the same ferryboat with them but hiding himself in the crowd because he couldn't attack Eden in the public eye.
-Master Raphael was right, said Minofourus to himself. He goes for the Gold of Mizrakh, but who is that man with him?
The angel wasn't sure why is he doing this, but he hoped the stone soldiers kill Eden and ease his job.
