BTS - Kidnapped

Trigger warnings and things to be aware of: AU (they aren't BTS), kidnapping, blood, hemophobia (fear of blood)

Jungkook never took the news seriously when they urged citizens to stay inside. He never took them seriously when they informed viewers that everyone was in danger due to a serial killer or kidnapper on the loose.

Of course, he knew that what they were saying was true. Of course, he knew it was dangerous outside. But he couldn't fathom the idea that the danger reached him. He couldn't imagine being hurt more than a paper cut. Things like that just didn't happen to him.

As of five months ago, there was a serial kidnapper on the loose. Jungkook hadn't been too concerned about himself. After all, nothing big ever happened to him. He didn't win games of chance, he didn't fall from trees and break his bones. He didn't get followed home and he didn't get kidnapped.

He finally was hit by a moment of fear, when Min Yoongi, a boy who attended his school, was added to the list of victims. Min Yoongi was the most recent of six teenage boys to go missing. and he was the closest victim to Jungkook. He was the only victim able to strike a little bit of fear into Jungkook.

As far as the police could tell, the only similarities between each of the victims was their age and gender. Six teenage boys, ages sixteen to seventeen, had been kidnapped.

If Jungkook remembered correctly, the first victim had been Park Jimin, a boy from Busan. No one immediately suspected that five more disappearances would follow, but nearly a month later, Jung Hoseok disappeared too.

Then there was Kim Seokjin. Kim Taehyung followed. Before Yoongi, the most recent victim had been Kim Namjoon. Now Min Yoongi is gone too.

No bodies had been found and there was no evidence that any of the boys had been killed yet, but it seemed that only Kim Seokjin's parents had any faith the boys would return alive.

Park Jimin's parents admitted to their lack of optimism about two months ago. Jung Hoseok's mom often expressed her belief that her son would return in one piece, but each appearance she made, she seemed to believe it less and less. Kim Taehyung's parents had never seemed too hopeful. Kim Namjoon's parents demanded progress during every appearance they made, and Yoongi's parents fell into despair immediately after their son was confirmed missing.

Only Kim Seokjin's parents still made firm, confident statements about their son's inevitable return.

A week after Yoongi's disappearance, Jungkook went back to the belief that nothing could touch him. In his own eyes, he was invincible. Nothing had ever hurt him more than paper, and nothing would. He believed that.

He was wrong.

Jungkook was taking a midnight stroll. Considering the current events, his parents would fucking kill him if they knew, but he enjoyed clearing his head in the dead of night. It was always silent, no one was around to bother him. The moon offered the perfect silent company. It was always cool, the wind brushed against his skin. It felt nice.

That's when he noticed a van driving uncomfortably close behind him. There were rarely any cars out at this time of the night so he was immediately unsettled. He subtly quickened his pace, hoping it would be too noticeable. It didn't do anything.

No matter how long he walked, or how fast he moved, the car was on his tail. When he finally accepted that this was no coincidence, he started running. And the car sped up. He figured it was a good thing he was on the track team, he wouldn't last long otherwise. But even with his experience in running, he grew tired. His legs were becoming sore, his lungs were screaming at him and he couldn't seem to catch his breath. But the car was still following him so he had to keep going. He couldn't stop.
