Hello guys! So just to let you know Evie and Carlos are gonna (kinda) be enemies in the beginning. It's gonna be a enemies to friends to lovers type story jsyk.

————

The first time Evie ever stepped foot out of her castle was the week after she had just turned 14. She expected her mother to tell her to go to the shop or something. But she would've never guessed the reason she left the castle was to go to school.

All her life Evie's mother never cared about Evie getting a education. She just cared if she was pretty. Mal and her mother had locked Evie and her mother away in a castle when she was only 4.

It has happened at her birthday party. Evie wanted to tell Mal that she wanted to invite her but her mother had said no. But Mal didn't even bother to let her explain.

At the time Mal was 6 and Evie was 4. Maleficent had told her daughter to go after younger kids. And believe it or not, the reason being was because even tho she was the most evil on the isle, she still worried for Mal. She didn't want her daughter coming home looking beaten up by older kids. So she told Mal to go after younger kids.

When Evie had walked into the school, she had felt extremely nervous. She knew she wasn't really recognizable. The only thing that still looked the same was probably her brown eyes and blue hair. It shocked her that she was noticed.

By time she had got to class, it was 8:35. Class had started at 8:30. When she walked in, nobody was there. She was confused, but it was the isle, not Auradon. Of course people were not gonna be on time.

"Oh, Evie your here" the teacher had said. She didn't even know that her teacher knew that she even existed. She just smiled awkwardly at her teacher.

"Ok um" the teacher said, walking around. "All the other seats are taken except this one" she added, tapping on the first desk in the back. She knew she wasn't gonna be able to see from the back, but it was the only seat available.
She had sat down in the seat, and put her head on the desk, waiting for other students to arrive.

When they did, Evie was half asleep. She wasn't sleeping, but she was somewhat relaxed in the quiet classroom. And when she's relaxed she tunes out everything. She had lifted her head up, only to be met with about 20 students in the class, all of them talking to each other.

She had heard somebody sit next to her, and she looked up to see a boy who looked her age. He had white hair with dark roots, dark brown eyes, and freckles all over his face. He didn't look very happy, but she decided to talk to him anyways.

"Hi!" She said with a smile on her face. She frowned when she didn't get a response. She waved her hand in his face, but he continued to play around with the self made black and white bracelet on his wrist.

"Hello?"

"What?!" He practically yelled, making Evie flinch at his tone. He was quick to apologize. "Sorry! I'm just, having a bad day" He said.

"But the day just started" She said, confused. He sighed and looked at her. "Can you please just leave me alone for right now? I don't really feel like talking"

Those words hurt her feelings, but she chose to ignore it. She didn't want him to hate her on her first day.

Classes were finally over, and everyone was running and pushing through the hallways to get out of school. Evie nearly fell 3 times because of this.

She panted as she finally got out of school. It was really hot in that school, and being surrounded by tons of students didn't make anything better. She started walking towards her Luther's castle she saw the same boy from earlier walking home.

He seemed like he wasn't as mad anymore, but he did look kind of suspicious, so hesitantly, Evie had followed him. When he had turned around, she hid behind one of the buildings so he wouldn't see her. She walked from behind the building and looked around trying to see where he was.

She had just decided to go home when she couldn't find him. As she was walking, she felt herself being pushed harshly against the brick wall. She couldn't help the little scream that came out of her mouth. She thought it was one of "those" people, but when she opened her eyes and looked up she saw that it was just the boy from earlier.

"Why were you following me?!" He yelled at her. He was scrawny and small for what she had guessed his age was, but so was she. He may be small but he definitely wasn't weak. His nails were nearly piercing her arms as he trapped her against himself and the wall.

"Uh" Evie said and tried to think of an excuse. "I live this way" She said, hoping he would believe her. He let go of her arms and Evie immediately put her hand over her arm where it was bleeding.

"Do you really think that I am that stupid?" He asked crossing his arms. Evie didn't know how to respond to that. She was to scared to even look him in the eye after what he had did to her arm.

"Evie, I know you don't live over here. Nobody does. There are no houses over here" He said, crossing his arms.

Evie finally looked up at him. "Wait, how do you know who I am?" She asked. They stared at each other before she gasped.

"You've been spying on me haven't you?!"

"Evie, I haven't been spying on y-" Carlos tried to explain before Evie cut him off.

"How do you know where I live?" She asked, looking at him suspiciously.

"I don't kno-"

"And how would you know my name? I never left the castle until today?!" She kept going on and on until Carlos grabbed her shoulders to keep her from pacing.

"Evie! Calm down!" Carlos told the smaller girl who was breathing heavily. It took about 10 minutes for her to stop pacing around and whispering things to herself.

"Ok Evie, I'm not stalking you. I don't even know where you live, and I only know your name because your the main topic at school 24/7"

"So everybody has been spying on me?" She asked, starting to breath heavily again.

"No Evie! It's ok, nobody is spying on you" Carlos reassured.

"Ok I'll believe you" She said, breathing normally again. "But if there are no houses over here then why are you over here?" She asked, still a little suspicious.

"No reason!" He said quickly. Evie crossed her arms and looked at his eyes. Carlos had got confused on why she kept staring at him like that"

"What?"

"Nothing. Bye!" Evie said and walked off. He sighed and continued walking.
