-Marilyn's POV

I woke up the next morning to hearing the doorbell ringing. I got up and wrapped my robe around myself quickly, I opened the door and ran out of my room.

I ran downstairs and seen Jeordie standing at the doorway with the little girl I saw in my dream last night but she had brighter brown eyes and darker brown hair. "Hey Marilyn, you know who this little girl is? This note says your her dad." Jeordie said handing me a note. I grabbed the note and read it.

Brian,
The little girl right there is your daughter, her name is Monica Jodie Warner. I can't take care of her because of my addiction with drugs, and alcohol. It's your responsibility to keep my... Our daughter.

-L.

"So.... Monica Jodie Warner?" I asked going on one knee and facing the little girl, she nodded and looked deep into my brown eyes. "How old are you?" I asked. "I'm four.." Monica said. "Four... I can handle you, I'm sure." I said picking her up.

I noticed Monica looked a bit scared and stared at me. "What?" I asked. "Why do you look like that...?" Monica whispered in a scared tone. "It's because he's unique, he's being himself Mona-Lisa." Jeordie said patting her little head. "It's Monica, Jeordie." I said. "Ok, but should we check in her bag for clothes or something?" Jeordie said picking up a Hello Kitty backpack that looked all dirty.

"Ok, but... Maybe we should go shopping for her too you know?" I said with a weird look. "Yeah, we should.." Jeordie said.

I put down Monica and grabbed her backpack, I unzipped it then took out her clothes... There was only a purple t-shirt, white night gown, and black jeans. "Monica... Is this all mommy brought you..?" I asked. Monica shook her head. "That's all... Holy shit.." Jeordie whispered. "Language." I said pointing at him and looking at him sternly. "Sorry." He said.

"Well, let's go clothes shopping for you later." I said looking at Monica, she shook her head 'yes' and sat down so she could take off her shoes.

"So I have to take full custody of you now?" I asked Monica. Monica shook her head 'yes' and slipped off her shoe. "She does look a lot like you too Marilyn." Jeordie said. "Except the skin colour.." I said. "Who cares?! It's just a skin colour." Jeordie said. "I mean, she's lighter then me, me and my ex girlfriend was the same skin tone." I said. "Well, I guess it's just how her skin tone is." Jeordie said.
