(A/N: Yes this is a Strike The Blood story. However, it's not going to be a carbon copy. I think it's much more interesting that way. So if you want one exactly like the anime this story may not be for you.)

A large boat was currently docking in one of Itogami Island's ports. There was a flood of people exiting the vessel. Each one had different reasons for visiting. Seeing friends and relatives, getting a fresh start, laying low, work, or for school. It didn't matter because the island would welcome them for however long they stayed.

A (h/c) haired guy walked off that same boat with a suitcase in hand. He looked around with an uninterested expression on his face. It seems like he is not impressed by the island at all. Perhaps with time, it will grow on him but for now, it's just an ordinary place nothing remarkable to take notice of.

Pulling out a phone from his pocket he opens an app that had a map. Once he found out his current location he began walking toward the direction of his destination. He was walking through the shopping district until a loud explosion caused him to stop in his track. Just up ahead a battle between two people has begun.

A blonde man with red eyes summoned a beast. It was a large bird with yellow feathers shooting lightning at a hairy-looking guy. Everyone in the area was panicking which caused them to stampede like cattle. What was once a peaceful place was now consumed in utter chaos.

"Wow just got here and I'm already witnessing a fight. I guess if you're on this island long enough you start to lose a few screws."

The hairy guy pulled out a fire hydrant and tossed it at the bird. Water burst out of the ground like a geyser soaking everything and everyone around it. The bird flew above and shot lightning at the hydrant destroying it. However, that wasn't the only thing it did. Some of it made contact with the water electrocuting everyone. With the battle now over the blonde man was about to leave until a group of men in navy blue stopped him.

"Must be the local law enforcement. Can't say I'm impressed by the time it took them to get here."

Without being troubled by a destructive fight between two idiots he just continued walking once again. He glanced at some shops but none of them were selling anything that piqued his interest. It took at least twenty minutes before he came face to face with his destination.

"Not the worse school I've seen but not the best either

"Not the worse school I've seen but not the best either. Guess the buildings don't matter much though. What I should focus more on is the people attending. If they're interesting it'll make up for it."

Approaching the gate he tried to push it open but it was locked. Many ordinary teens would take this as a sign to just leave and not show up to school today. But he was anything but ordinary. Setting his feet on a horizontal bar he is now preparing to climb the fence. Throwing his suitcase over the fence he now began to climb. Eventually, he reached the top of the fence and just sat there looking at everything below him before jumping off and landing on the ground.

He picked up his suitcase and walked to one of the doors of the building. Turning the door handle he entered. Was he nervous about being in a new school? Well if he was he had an excellent poker face. But a new issue did arise. Where was his classroom located?

They didn't send any information other than an email stating that his transfer papers were in order. There wasn't a map of the school or any further instructions attached. Unless he overlooked it but he made sure to read it a few times. Surely if it was he would have noticed.

So his only option was to wander around the school. Hopefully, he'll run into someone that can assist him.

"This is such a pain in the ass. It's like the person writing the email couldn't be bothered to tell me more information. I even sent them a response a few days ago and they still haven't answered back."

Too busy thinking, he rounded the corner and bumped into someone. The person fell to the ground but he stood tall and firm. Looking down he spotted what he believed was a child that seemed to be ten. She must be the daughter of one of the teachers. This could be his chance to ask for directions at least. He's sure that a kid does not know how a school operates.

"Hey, kid let me help you up" He picked the kid up and put her back down so she was standing. "Sorry about that. Can you point me to the teacher's office or someplace where a staff member works. The email I received was vague so I'm not sure what exactly to do."

"I'm not a kid

"I'm not a kid. I work here as a teacher." She pouted like a toddler while looking at him. He couched down to the small girl's level and pat her head.

"Working here in your imagination doesn't make it a reality. So point me in the direction where your mommy or daddy is ok." He spoke to her in a calm and patient tone attempting to make the girl relax before she throws a tantrum. It would give him a bad reputation if someone saw that he made a kid cry so trying to defuse the situation before it got out of hand was a must.

"When I say I work here I mean it. I'm not a child so don't treat me like one. I might even be your teacher so show me some respect." She began stomping one of her feet offended by the fact that this guy won't believe her. Why do people always bring up her appearance? She's twenty-seven not ten and the fact that he thinks and treats her like a child makes her mad.

"Relax there kid. I didn't mean to make you throw a temper tantrum. Here maybe this will help you calm down." He pulled out a piece of candy from his pocket and handed it to her. " There you go."

She did accept the candy but wasn't happy about it. Is this the kind of respect young people have for those older than them now? Just because of her appearance and because she sometimes acts like a child doesn't mean she is one. However, it seems like this guy can get it through his thick skull that she is telling the truth. Where someone who can vouch for her when she needs it. Maybe taking him to the teacher's lounge is the only option so he can realize that his assumption was wrong.

"Follow me." She told the man. If he wouldn't take her word for it she will need to take him somewhere that will prove that she has been telling him the truth.

"Lead the way." He stood back up and followed the small girl. "So did your parents not have a babysitter to watch you?"

"I don't need a babysitter because I'm not a child! Get it through your thick skull already!" She shouted still angry that he is asking her such a stupid question.

"Well, I guess I'll ease up on those questions for now. But just so you know the angrier you are the more wrinkles you'll get. You know what that might be a good thing. It would make it more believable that you're not a kid." He started laughing at what he just said. Unaware that was the last nail in the coffin that made her snap.

A powerful shockwave sent him flying through the hall and smashing through the wall. He groaned in pain. Looking in the room he spotted a woman in a white outfit. Lucky him, he landed in the nurse's office.

The last thing he could see was the woman approaching him before everything went dark. This school was going to be troublesome he could already tell. But at least being here won't be a waste of time. It's going to be interesting that's for sure.
