The boy sat with his back against the cold brick of the highschool, his lips bloody and ribs hurting. His electrifying blue eyes seemed to glow with contempt as he rested his shaking hands on his knees. He'd much rather be dead. The seven other boys surrounding him all laughed at his misery."What you gotta say for yourself? You worthless piece of shit."
"This piece of shit is a bigger pussy than my girl's." They all gave a hearty laugh at that, but when one saw that the boy was not laughing, he reared back his foot and delivered a nasty blow to his chest. He grunted as the boy whizzed and doubled over, clutching his chest while drooling blood and saliva. His eyes watered as he stared at their shoes, not bothering to move any further. His lungs burned and he was sure at least three ribs were broken. He blinked and tears slid down his cheeks, mingling with his blood.

Kathryn stared at the pictures in disbelief. That son of a bitch. "Where is he?" She asked calmly, looking up at the girl. The girl cleared her throat.
"He's outside kicking some nerd." Kathryn nodded, slammed her locker and stormed out of the school, the double doors whacking the side walls. No one cheated on Kathryn Gothridge. Kathryn's heart sped up as she rounded the corner to find a group of about fifty students gathered around. Not bothering to push through the crowd, she just called out to her soon to be ex.
"James Nolan Wyatt!"
The noise died down as every head looked back at her. She began to walk and the students parted like the red sea, not wanting to getting her wrath. She marched up to him and looked up so she could glare into his questioning green eyes.
"Baby, what's--" she cut him off.
"Don't you fucking call me that ever again, you cheating bastard! How could you betray my trust like that? And for some flat chest fake red head who has herpes!" Now, she didn't know about the herpes, but she loved the way everyone gasped and he paled. She shook her head. "We're through, jackass. I hope she was magical because that's all you'll ever be getting'!" A moan drew their gazes back to the figure on the ground. He slowly pulled himself to a sitting position and gave James a bloody grin. His shoulders shook and everyone finally realized that he was laughing. James saw red.
"You think this is funny you little shit?" He roared, ready to kill him. Before he knew what was happening, his jaw slid out of its socket and he stumbled back, clutching his face. Kathryn shook out her hand and walked over towards the boy. Bending down, she slowly helped him up. When his arm was around her shoulders and he was as fully standing, he easily dwarfed her five foot ten frame. She held back her shock, choosing instead to glare at her injured ex.
"Me and this guy, we're leaving. And if I ever even hear a whisper about you looking at him the wrong way. I'll make a fucking necklace out of you and your friends' shriveled up dicks." She gave him one last look before turning and helping the boy away from the scene.
When they rounded the corner, she let out the breath she was holding. Failing to hold back her tears any longer, she used the back of her hand to shakily wipe her eyes, not caring if her makeup smeared. Refusing to look at him, she asked the boy where his car was. "You do have a car right?" It would be hell if he didn't, hers was getting its yearly check up today. He slowly nodded and weakly pointed a finger. When she followed its direction, she whistled. "Holy shit."
She got him to his shiny black BMW and dug in the pocket of his jeans for the key. When she found it, she rested him against the car and held him there with her hips as she opened the passenger door. While she fumbled with the keys, a pink tint dusted his pale cheeks; he had never been this close to a girl before.
