Authors note: aghhhhh. I've been trying so hard to keep writing. Please know that if I don't publish anything for a while I haven't given up on this, these just take me a while. I've been writing a lot of stuff that I want to happen later in the story, so things should be picking up soon. Thanks to everyone reading, and like I say every time, feel free to leave comments, they make me so happy and I love reading and answering them. Feel free to ask questions about what's to come or anything that happened in the past (in the story) and I will answer you and maybe even write something in the story for it. Pls enjoy :)

"Oh my god what was that!" Jordyn exclaimed as soon as Karlie closed the door

"I don't fucking know" Taylor laughed. The conversation died shortly after that. Neither one wanting to speak next. Jordyn knew she had to though.

"You ok?" Jordyn questioned, a worried look on her face. She knew how hard this must be for her mom. It had been a lot in the last 24 hours.

"Honestly, I don't know." Taylor sighed, thoughts filling her mind

"You still love her don't you?" Jordyn asked, but she already knew the answer. She just needed her mom to know the answer.

"I can't. Even if I do still love her I can't be with her. I can't do that to Joe." Taylor was composing herself a lot better this time, her voice only slightly cracking. She knew she could cry if she needed to. It was the best thing about having a daughter young. They understood each other. Jordyn was always her safe place, even when almost no one else was. And she knew Jordyn felt the same about her.

"I have something for you." Jordyn abruptly stated, seeming to have changed the conversation. She got up and walked up the stairs to one of the guest rooms. When she came back into sight she was holding a purple envelope, both her and Taylor's favorite color. She handed it to Taylor, only saying two words, "From Joe".

Taylor took the envelope and opened it, reading the note to herself.

"I don't understand it" she said, confusion in her voice.

"Read it out loud. I don't know what it says." Jordyn replied. She had an idea what the card entailed, but she wasn't positive.

"My darling Taylor,

We didn't get to talk much because of my flight, but I didn't want to leave you with such worry hanging over you. I know you still love Karlie. I've always known you still love Karlie. I went into this relationship knowing it probably wouldn't be forever, but I was okay with that. You're one of the most compassionate and amazing people I've ever met, and I'm so lucky to be in your life. I want you to be happy though, and I know we will both be happier as friends. You're my best friend Taylor, and that will never change. I may have been your lover, but Karlie's your sunshine. She's your daylight, but most importantly, she's your golden love. Don't let her go. I'll text you when I get back to the Uk. Thank you for allowing your house to be my home too. I'll always be with you and I'll always be your friend.

Your lover, Joe"

Taylor's eyes watered as she finished reading it. She carefully wiped her eyes and let out a deep sigh.

"But what if Karlie just wants to be friends. I doubt she wants to date me again. She wouldn't have come back knowing I was with Joe if she wanted to date me." Jordyn could tell thoughts were pounding through her mom's head, almost breaking through her skull. But she knew how to calm Taylor's nerves.

"Mom. I've always known you still love Karlie. And I'm the one that told Joe when he started dating you, not that he needed to be told. I also told Karlie the entire situation yesterday. Trust me, of course she still likes you. You guys are like soulmates." Jordyn had never been more certain of anything in her life.
