After a heavy day at work, I drove back to the apartment. I knew everyone was already there because it was seven in the evening and I had told them to end early. I said this because it has been a long time without us having a friends day, even though its after dark. I miss my friends.
"Are you all ready for a night of fun?" I ask as I open the door. Their heads all whip around to me.
"Where have you been?" Dom asks with a knowing smirk. Luigi nudges him and smirks along with him.
"I was at work, you know, where I am ninety percent of the day." I reply confused at their smirks. They all looked at each other and Stefano chuckled in a low voice while shaking his head. "What?!" I asked while trying not to laugh.
I really didn't know why they would think I was somewhere else. It finally hit me that they thought I was with Lorelai, I wasn't. I haven't seen her since this morning. I kind of miss her but I wouldn't admit that to anyone.
"I wasn't with Lorelai, I was at work." I protest and walk to the living room where they were all staring at me. "Luigi, you saw me at work."
"I was busy all day so I couldn't have seen you." He immediately defends with his hands raised in surrender.
Everyone else chuckles and I'm appalled by the dishonesty. My word against his and they believe him. I stand there with my mouth hung open and my hands pocketed. A laughter bubbles from my throat and I shake my head. Giana giggles with Jessica and Stefano turns his body on the couch so that he faces me.
"We never said anything about Ms Campbell." He raises an eyebrow. "You thought of her, not us."
"When you get a lady as gorgeous as mine, you'll never be able to get her out of your mind." I wink at him and go to my room to change. When I come back out, they are all in the kitchen and laughing.
Giana is sitting on the counter with Luigi in between her legs, those two have always had this "thing" going. Like they aren't friends but they aren't together necessarily. I feel bad for Luigi because I know that he has liked Gia for quite some time. I just hope Gia isn't going to break his heart, like she did with the many other men.
Stefano was leaning against the fridge and opposite him was Jessica and Dom. Dom was standing behind her with his hands on her stomach. He was rubbing it soothingly and the smile on Jessica's face says that he was atleast trying to be with her.
I notice through Jessica's pink shirt was her stomach. Her baby stomach was finally showing.
"Jessica." I called out and went into the kitchen towards her. "You're finally showing." I bent down to see her stomach.
Dom removed his hands and I smiled at her stomach. I placed my own hands on her stomach and rubbed it. Everyone came up behind me and started their "ooo" at her stomach. I was undeniably happy for her and Dom. I looked up at them and they were smiling at each other.
