"Fuck, fuck, fuck" Beth muttered to herself while walking in the middle of the cornfield in front of her house. While walking back from the trading shop she had spotted broken bottles all over the floor, but this wasn't what scared her, Serrena would usually have a party when father was gone, it was the cart track over them that scared her. This only meant one thing, father had come back sooner from his business trip.

"Please let it be not true, please let it be not true" panic raising in her heart step after step as she got closer to her house. She couldn't see it yet because of all the corns but she was so scared because she knew what would happen if he found out that her sister threw a party, he wouldn't hurt Serrena, he would hurt her... like always.

The corn field came to an end, and she would soon see her old house. When Beth finally saw the house, the first thing she saw was her older sister, with big red eyes like she's been crying for hours. Beth knew better tho, she knew this was just an act to get herself out of trouble. Serrena could always make herself cry in any situation and it did always get her out of trouble because people would obviously believe more the girl who's crying instead of the unemotional one. Beth never cried not after her mother's death, she didn't cry at her mother's funeral, she didn't cry when she was blamed for the first time, didn't cry when she was punished for the first time, not when she had to kill a fox for her sister and she wasn't going to cry for nothing, she made herself a promise.
"I'm sorry" her sister mouthed to her, like every time Beth knew she was truly sorry but never changed her ways. It was always the same routine.
-Serrena blaming me for what she did
- Me getting punished
-Her saying how truly sorry she was
- Me forgiving her
Her blond curly hair was a mess, the red around her eyes brought the blue in them, she looked... so beautiful. I think that's what father saw in her, beauty and grace. Instead, when he looked at Beth, she was the opposite, she had brown eyes like mud, strawberry brown hair that were tie in a low ponytail because she hated having hair in her eyes. She also had freckles but not as many as her sister and on top of it she had a scar on the right side of her lips of when she "fell on glass".

Father came outside, his arms were cross, and he had this deadly look in his eyes that tonight wouldn't be just a slap. His grey eyes look darker in the dark, but his blue eyes were shining in a way she didn't like.

"Well, well well there she is the girl who decided to throw a party and leave in the middle of it for your poor sister to take care of it"

The way her father said that sentence brought chills all over her body. The urge to say what she really wants to tell him and simply leave and ignore every problem in the world was so intense, but she would never leave her sister alone with him, not as long as he was still breathing.

"Your right, I'm sorry I promise I would clean everything and pay you back for everything that has been destroyed" Her voice came back in a rush and with panic which she hated.

Father looked at her over with a villain grin in his face that made her take a step back. Noticing it, his grin grew taking almost place of everything in his face

"You cannot even pay for half the things that has been destroyed, but I will make a pleasure to remind you to never do that again."

With that her father walk over her still looking in her eyes to see if he would find any emotions in her eyes, but he wasn't, she would not back away again and she will not cry. With that she looked straight to the blue in her father's eye, he was smiling back at her. Then everything went dark. She would come back time to time. She was on the dirt outside... then she would feel a pain in her stomach like someone kick her right there... and it was that then everything went black again.

Beth eyes opened. Dark at officially taken over now. It must be at least midnight; she was at the same place where her father beat her. Beth usually thought about just saying everything to her father so that Serrena could suffer what she felt but every time that thought crept into her brain guilt entered. How could she thing about such a thing. She thought the reason she took the blame for everything is because she couldn't just stay there and look at her sister while she gets punished. Even if it wasn't mutual Beth would do anything for her sister even kill. That's why she started hunting, we needed food and father didn't want to hunt and Serrena wouldn't so its was her who had to kill those beautiful animals, but she would do it again if that meant to see that bright smile her sister gave her.

Beth got up with difficulties, she started checking her body to know where the damage had been. She was glad she black out, but the after was always so much worse. Her black dress was all mess up with dirt and blood. The front of her dress arrived at her knees which were covered with bruises and blood. The dress was her sisters old dress, and it was not the most pretty one, but it was her favorite. Her ribs felt like she's been stab multiple time which will probably leave a scar. She didn't know how badly her face was and she really didn't give a crap.

All lights in her house were closed which meant they probably sleeping by now. She didn't want to go to sleep yet, she needed to clear her head and she knew exactly where to go. First, she went in the woods until she reached her tree. She digs a bit and finally found her dagger. She then took of to the pub.
