Dark alleys, dark spaces,
all of them are dangerous places.
You musn't stray away from me
remember, staying safe is the key.
You must always stay in the light, don't get influenced by the darkness,
increase your speed, improve your awareness.
Never let a shadow pass over your skin,
straying in the darkness it is a great sin.
Shine brightly and blind everyone else,
make sure you stay out of darkness at your own expense.
We don't know who or what lurks in the shadows, what horror it may hide,
we've warned you well enough but it's your own choice to decide.
What's that a thief? He broke into your house?
Quick! Hide in the attic, lock it and don't make a sound!
The darkness will cradle you in safety, shielding you from sight,
saving you from the consequences of this terrible plight.
You musn't go into the light for you shall be seen,
just close your eyes it's all a dream.
The light is a curse, exposing you to the world,
letting eyes observe you as you begin to unwirl.
Evil eyes pry you open, that's how jealousy comes from,
and trust me when I tel you that there isn't a positive outcome.
You watch the horrors of the world, how they show no forgiveness,
I shall cover your eyes, you're forbidden to witness.
Stay in the dark,
let it cradle you in its hidden heart.
You're much safer there,
without light to taint you, your own life you may spare.
A/N: Yeah, honestly my poetry has no deep meaning to it at all xDD But this just came up in my head when i was sleeping and after I played Amnesia. YOU GUYS HAVE TO CHECK OUT AMNESIA. You gotta have the balls to play it though. I'm a girl, but I grew some and I played. EPIC. GRAPHICS. I'm off topic again. Anywho, yeah, you get the message xD Life is filled with contradictions and paradoxes o.o It's a strange world we live in but then again there's this thing we call balance. It's understandable.
