Raspy sounds and pained groans began to erupt from the serpentine once more, albeit more dire and gasping for breath. "Dorago! Don't do this-" Mipsy eventually found the serpent lying nearly motionless around the corner. She knew that his tar sickness was terminal, but she swore in her stone heart to be with him til the very end. She loved him to no end- but an abomination like her couldn't stand a chance with someone as devilishly beautiful as he was, the perytoness thought, but she had to say it before he succumbed.

Dorago huffed out more of the Inky substance, just enough to speak up weakly. "Mipsy... I'm sorry- I'm afraid it's nearing the time" He turned his head towards the shorter deer woman, looking longingly into her steely brown eyes. "But before my fate comes. I have to say my honest peace, as I've been denying it for too long... " Mipsy's eyes widened like saucers, surely it couldn't be what she was thinking. Dorago was too careless- too good for a lowlife experiment. "You can tell me anything..." the peryton smiled cheek-to-cheek, looking down on the long haired sea serpent like a caring mother

"Mipsy... I have been in denial for too long. But seeing you here, and all those times we went on journeys together, that dance at the festival, when you saved me from Praeteur. I can't stand not to say this. We are way more than friends... my dear little raspberry. In other words... I-I love you..." his eyes began to fog over, as life slowly ticked away from him. The perytoness couldn't believe her ears, the man she had fallen for was saying this to her? An experimented monster girl would never find a husband like the rest of the bunch- but here he was. Dying in her arms. "Dorago... this might sound stupid or insane, but i love you too. I have for a long time... but how. How would you love me? I'm horrifying to look at...and barely socialized. I'm a poor excuse for a peryton." Mipsy's face began to get stained with her tears, before a soft and comforting hand, belonging to Dorago wiped them away before bringing her cute rounded face towards his own, giving her a gentle kiss as he fell into unconsciousness, drawing limp still within the arms of the peryton.

Mipsy was pacing outside the infirmary doors, as the Luckdragon nurse came out to update on her new love's condition. "I have good news and bad news-" the innocent voice of the dragons echoed within the alabaster halls. "Bad news first... per the norm." Mipsy expected the worst, preparing to grip her handkerchief nestled within her pocket. "The bad news is that Dorago will be a bit woozy for a while. The good news is, that he is... miraculously completely free of the tar and will be out and ready to go home tonight! It's a miracle for his kind! No Ornate Serpent has ever survived Tar Sickness in history!" Mipsy's auburn orbs lit up like stars, was she dreaming? Dorago was alive- and no tar? "You're kidding me, right?" "Nope! He was whining out your name though, so you'd better go in and see him!" The Luckdragon giggled before patting the small peryton's shoulder. Mipsy nodded and began to stroll towards his room

The raven-haired sea serpent was sitting up in his hospital bed, his Amber eyes looking sparkly once catching sight of Mipsy. "Mipsy- you're here." He purred in his normal cocky manner. "Dorago!" The happy little fawn leaped into the awaiting embrace of the sea serpent and nuzzled into his strong chest, the taller serpent gently stroking her wings. "Please don't do that again!" The brunette deer was crying tears of joy, barely finding the energy to form comprehensible sentences. "Oh my little cosmic raspberry, I could never." Dorago kissed the top of Mipsy's head and ran his clawed fingers through her hair. "Stay with me tonight when we go home, please?" Mipsy crooned and looked up at the larger half-blood. The aquatic fellow chuckled and gave her that cheery smile that had all but seemed to be lost before. "Of course. I don't think I'll ever be able to leave after last night's horror show." The unlikely duo stayed nestled together for a while, before the Luckdragon nurse came in with the papers for the two to go home.
