Izuku is encouraged by his mother to do his best as he leaves for school. The school has increased security and has the festival broadcasted live.
In the Class 1-A waiting room, students change into their P.E. uniforms for the festival, making it fair for everyone since they won't be wearing costumes.
"Everybody! We're about to enter the arena!" Tenya announced.
Before they do, however, Todoroki approaches Izuku.
Everyone was silent watching the two exchange the conversation as followed:
"I may be stronger than you but the latter has the number one hero, I will defeat you." Todoroki claims
Izuku just stood there. Shocked and nervous at the same time.
"Hey guys aren't we all friends here?" Kirishima tried to defuse the situation.
"We're not here to make friends." Todoroki spats out to kirishima.
Todoroki left the room with most people speechless but before he could, izuku stopped him.
"Even though you have way more potential than anyone in the hero course it won't stop me to strive for being the number one hero just like every other student in the school." He argued to him.
Class 1-A walks out to the Freshmen Stage of the Festival Stadium and the U.A. Sports Festival officially begins. The other freshmen classes also arrive. The Chief Referee for the Festival: Midnight, asks for the student representative, Katsuki Bakugo to lead the pledge.
"Oh no this will end badly" y/n whispered to izuku glancing to him
"He will only make more enemies and targets for us.." he sighs in frustration
Katsuki walked up to the stage instead.
"I will pledge number as the number one hero and defeat you all." Bakugo spoke up to the microphone announcing it.
Garnering boos from all the students. Izuku notices that Katsuki is pushing himself while making targets of Class 1-A at the same time. And sighs to himself.
'This could only end badly for him.' They both thought
After the so-called pledge, Midnight announces the preliminaries of the Festival will be an Obstacle Race 4 kilometers around the stadium.
'My chance to show some of my quirks advantages!' Y/n to herself.
The race immediately begins and all the participants struggle to exit through the stadium door. They get packed into a mob by the narrow corridor as their first obstacle.
"This is my chance!" He races towards freezing the pathway ahead of the others
To his surprise many were not frozen and able to avoid his attack. Minoru manages to reach Shoto and tries to attack him.
But he was knocked away by a villian bot.
Many villain bots suddenly reveal themselves as the second obstacle, blocking the path of the participants. Some of the villain bots are the Zero-point robots from the U.A. Entrance Exams that cause many students to panic.
Not Todoroki though.
He remains calm and expresses his desire to face a more difficult obstacle and proceeds to freeze an entire giant villain bot solid with ease.
'Oh god alright..calm down izuku think..' izuku thought to himself
With y/n though..
"Weee!" She flew her way through with ice like skating but used air as her inhaler, her father was able to teach her that.
"YOU GOT THIS DARLING!" Y/n herd from the distance..
"Dad?.." y/n realises and got nervous again.
At the end of it all..y/n was able to see her father in person, all might was nearby.
Izuku tears up after looking into the stands and seeing All Might with a proud grin on his face. The latter comments on how he had nothing to worry about because Izuku just showed that he is a fighter whose selflessness doesn't hold him back.
"Y/n мой принцесса you did amazing! Second place is very good!" Her father exclaimed
She had geared up as well, she glanced to izuku.
"It's thanks to izukus courage and strength, the inspiration he gives to fight on forward!" I smile and look back to father.
Izuku looks over to me "thank you y/n" as he smiles to me
After announcing the standings, Midnight moves the Festival on to the second event: The Cavalry Battle. The top forty-two qualifiers form teams from two to four people in order to earn points by stealing headbands from other teams. A team's point value is based on the value of its individual members. The members of the team receive point value based on their placement in the obstacle race.
. . . 'Izuku, who is first place, is worth ten million points; as the other students figure out that all they need to do to win is take him down..I'll just team up with someone I guess?' Y/n thought to herself.
"Team's point values are listed on their headbands, which can be worn around the head or the neck of the rider. The objective of the game is to steal as many headbands as possible to raise your team's point value. If a team falls or has their headband stolen, they can still compete until the time is up. You have fifteen minutes to make a group team of two to four!" Midnight announced.
'Crud no one likes to team up with me..'
I just stood there awkwardly thinking who would team up with me.
"Join us y/n!" The gravity girl said
"Gravity girl! Sure thing!"
"Ochako Uraraka by the way, you forgot already?!" She huffed with sarcasm
I just laugh "alright y/n let's do this alright? For your father!" Izuku says determined to me
I smile at that and nod.
'The Cavalry Battle begins and many of the teams go straight for Izuku's headband..poor izu..'
Team Tetsutetsu's Juzo Honenuki uses his Quirk to soften the ground beneath Our Team, trapping us.
"Crud! Let me try something!" We successfully escaped by my using my air and flying us up to the sky.
Kyoka tries to use her Earphone Jacks to attack them while they're in the air, but the air pressure of my Quirk deflects it.
Kyoka's Team wants to go after Izu but notices their headband has been stolen by Neito, who comments on how it was too easy.
"Dammit, I thought I did well.." I sigh
Mei attached hover soles on my feet so I didn't have to use air so much. Thank god.
Team Mineta rushes Our Team. Izu mistakes Mezo for being alone, but in fact, Tsuyu and Minoru are riding on his back, shielded from sight by his tentacles. I hadn't realised that at the time.
They use both their Quirks to attack us, and one of Minoru's spheres sticks to their hover soles, trapping them on the ground.
Team Tetsutetsu joins the fray, forcing Izu to break the hover soles in order to escape back into the air.
Our team gains a few seconds of breathing room, as Katsuki immediately pursues us by using his explosions to fly. Katsuki tries to blast us out of the air, but Ice wall blocks him.
The crowd cheers loudly and fans comment on the skills of Class 1-A, but Present Mic announces that other then Our Team, no one in Class 1-A is currently placed in the top four.
