"Beatrice sweetheart, its time to get up. Its time for school." With those words I darted awake. I rolled over to see my mother standing next to me slightly shaking my back.
"Do I have to mom, can't you just home school me. I would really enjoy, that."
"Oh sweetie, I wish but your father believes that by sending you to school, you will get a taste of the socially cruel world. Plus its not that bad." She said with a slight smile. Of course she thought everything was fine why would she not. That's what I pay teachers to tell her.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll get ready." I said with a smile, the same fake smile that I have been using for the past three years. My dads a politician, but unlike most, he gets played to go to town and find people. Like a spy sort of, but he drags us, Caleb, my mother and, I, around.
"Tris hurry up I don't want to be late!" Yelled Caleb, ever since our last move he has been quite hot headed. "Sorry I'm getting in the shower now!"
I stood under the hot water for a moment than quickly, shampooed and conditioned my hair. I hopped out of the shower slipping and cutting my ankle. "Damn it." I whisper to myself.
I hobbled over and grabbed a hand towel and began to clean up the blood, "Oh well.. That will have to do." I draped my towel around me and ran\hobbled over to my room.
I grabbed a, oversized gray tee-shirt, black jeans, with rips at the knees, my black beanie, and gray converse. "Well you look quite colorful this morning." Stated Caleb, "I could say the same for you." He was wearing, blue jeans, a light blue underarmor sweatshirt, and white vans.
"Why thank you, need a ride?" Grabbing my bookbag I nodded. "Okay, let's go to the heavenly place, know as school!" Shouted Caleb.
"Yay" I said in a sarcastic happy tone. "Come on where going to school, Beatrice be happy! We're going to School, Yeah!"
Said Caleb with his goofy smile. " HELL YEAH LETS GET SOME KNOWLEDGE, WOAH BRO, LETS GOOOO!" I screamed."I knew you could be excited."
"Shut up." I said with a grin.
About ten minutes later, Caleb and I where pulling up to school, as I looked around I realized that we had taken dads car, a red 2010 Mustang, "Caleb! Why did you take dads car! You know I hate being seen in it!"
"What? Its the first day of school, I wanted to make a impression."
"How modest of you. Caleb dad likes us to stay hiddin, let other people have the fame and 'glory'. " I was aggravated. I didn't like making a scene
"New place, new me Beatrice. You do realized this is our Senior year, right? Why not make a scene, I mean who cares?" Said Caleb, I was shocked this was not the, modest, do good, kid that I had grown up with. Something had changed.
"Whatever, have a good day of glory Caleb, it never lasts for long." I said and got out. I was almost inside the building when I tripped and fell.
"Oh my God I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Damn it, I'm so clumsy" Said a darker skinned girl, with short black hair.
"No its fine." I began to roll up my pants leg, and realized my cut from earlier this morning busted open. "Shit." I mumbled
"Oh God dammit, here let me help you." She said, "I'm Christina, by the way, and your name is?"
"Ummm, Tris, Tris Prior."
"Huh, here let's get you to the main office, you can get your schedule, and patched up. Sound good? I mean if you want to, its just I think you really should get a bandaid on that, or something." She said .
