Lavander And The Goddess Of Light, (PT,1?)Written By: [Me, ofc, I don't steal stories]
I am not normal. I'm not even technically alive. I am god-like, from my parents being goddesses. They are really nice, but not all goddesses are nice. Some goddesses, or one in particular, will go against the rules of gods and earn a bad reputation from it. This is how I was introduced to the goddess of light, a goddess that killed my mother when she was a child just for seeing her. Little did I know as a young one myself, that I was going to meet her.
I was running out of breath and chose to hide to rest for a little bit. I was very tiny since I was only 4 so I could hide almost anywhere in the seemingly never ending backyard. The sun was shining in the whitish-blue sky above me, there was also a light breeze that was really calming for me. I decided to hide under a slide we had, but I was found pretty quickly by mom. "Gotcha you little grape!" she said as she picked me up from behind, slightly startling me. We giggled for about a minute then I saw a strange bright light out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head over to see what it was, but it quickly disappeared from sight. I was curious but thought it was my mind playing tricks on me, so I just looked back at the silly faces my mom was making. This happened many more times after that, the light getting brighter and brighter, like it was a lightbulb being turned from very dim to being very bright.
Several years later, I now have a little sister, Charla. We spent a lot of time together, and sooner or later she told me about a strange light like the one I was experiencing. I told her that we could investigate where the light came from. She got excited by what I said, but I knew both of us were confused on how we were going to investigate a disappearing light. With my allowance we bought some flashlights and cameras to try to figure out if someone was shining a light at us or if it was something else. One of us would turn around and the other would shine one of the flashlights near the ear, but when we did that with all the light-making sources we had, none of them looked similar to the light we experienced. Then we did a test with cameras, we would wait for the light to appear then we tried to quickly take a picture of it. Somehow that worked, the light was actually an unknown goddess watching us for some reason. We decided to show our mother what we found. We were expecting something positive from her, but all we got was a surprised look, like a look that someone has after they see a big injury or when you get reminded of something bad. "What's wrong?" I said, trying to comfort my mother. "It's her" she said in a concerned voice. I knew what she was talking about, this was not good. I was told a story when I was about five, it was about the goddess of light and the relationship she had with my mother as a child.
We told our mom that the goddess of light was watching us. She got very concerned and told us that everything was going to be ok. I knew it was not ok since she even said that, she never says that, not even if it's a dangerous situation. My sister looked scared since she knew almost everything I knew about this type of stuff. I held her in my arms, "We could make this," I said in a calming voice, "like one of our adventures and we could banish them!" It looked like her worries just vanished out of existence. Mom interrupted, "How about I show you two something?"
We went into a part of our house I didn't even know existed, like it was some kind of secret room. It was dim, big, and there were things everywhere, books, unknown tools, bottles, containers, the list goes on and on. "This is your aunt's room" mom whispered, I had no idea why she was whispering, it seemed there was no reason to whisper. She went over to a bookshelf and picked up a dusty book, a very weird looking one with an intricate design on the cover. Charla was interested and motioned mom to give her the book so she could inspect it. Mom opened the book to a certain page and put it on the floor for us to look at, it was a page on how to banish a god. "Your aunt was very good with magic and knowledge, she would've wanted you to know this," Mom was still whispering, "that goddess is evil at heart and we should banish them to the void," this was all new information for me, "We have an aunt?" I asked in a normal voice, "How are we even going to banish a goddess?" Suddenly I saw someone else appear in the room, as if my questions awakened a question answering ghost. They looked like a picture that was hanging on the only empty wall. "I can help," she exclaimed. My sister looked up from the page and confidently said "We will need petals from a goddess flower" the unknown lady replied "and some help from your aunt" my sister looked up at what was supposed to be our aunt and started blabbering about magic, spells, and potions. I didn't trust the lady, she looked nothing like either of our moms and she acted totally different from both of them. The lady picked up the book and started flipping through the pages. "We will need to summon her first"
Me, Charla, mom, and our supposedly aunt went to some kind of lab, that was inside the strange room in our house. There was a secret room inside the secret room. Everything was cleaner here and slightly brighter, like the room we were just in was like a trailer for a movie and the movie is a huge lab with materials, crystals, rocks, strange liquids, plants, dust, books, and seemingly everything else and more that a supernatural scientist would have. There was another room we had to go in, like two secret rooms weren't enough for you Ms. 'supposed to be my aunt'. "This is a summoning room," the lady sounded very suspicious to me, "be careful" she placed the book she was carrying onto a lectern, it strangely looked like the book was made for the lectern or the opposite. More page flipping and then another book seeming to come out of a magical portal under the lectern. My sister decided it was a good idea to push a button on the floor while our 'aunt' was looking for something in her books. The button revealed a floor with a pattern, a huge circle with strange markings inside, there were also some black and white candles."It's a summoning circle!" Charla gleamed with excitement at the sight of the newly found circle. Out of nowhere our 'aunt' started gibberish and pointed to a wall next to her. Turns out the gibberish was a spell and it made the goddess freeze in time right after she appeared. "I guess we don't have to summon her anymore," our 'aunt' said under her breath. I decided to take a good look at the goddess. She had very long and bright white hair, completely white eyes, huge wings made out of feathers, gloves, some jewelry on her head and body, a no-sleeved medium length flowy dress with cotton surrounding the bottom, middle and top of the dress. Her expression was blank, as if nothing affected her. "She's pretty!" Charla seemingly yelled, "She is, are you sure this is the correct goddess and not a guardian angel?" I asked expecting a positive response. "I've been practicing magic since I was 3, I don't think I messed up," our 'aunt' seemed agitated at the fact I think she messed up, she must really love that stuff like my sister.
The next day, we decided to keep her frozen in a protective cylinder. Our 'aunt' whose name I recently discovered was Silver, or Sil for short, was constantly watching her and studying her carefully, getting every detail she could. Sil and our moms' decided to teach Charla and me how to use certain spells. I wasn't really that interested since I already knew the basics, Charla on the other hand was really excited, she was always into magic tricks and all the random books we had. Some days later, Charla would be doing magic things with Sil, our moms' always talking about the goddess, and myself in my room researching about the dangers banishing a goddess would have. I was called down to the secret rooms, we were about to banish this goddess. What seemed like several hours later, we sent the goddess to the void. Charla was happy to have done some magic, our mother was starting to get over her childhood trauma, and I was happy that annoying little light was gone for good. Or that's what I thought.
The End,
