Several months later...

"Mateo get your ass down here right this fucking second!" I did as she asked and marched down stairs and ran directly to where her voice was coming from.

She was in the downstairs bathroom and was sitting on the floor.

"Did you use all of the good condition that was left?" I searched my head and just looked at her.

"No?" She laughed and shook her head before crossing her arms.

"Your a fucking liar Mateo" and then something was tossed at my head.

"Where did you get a goddamn book?"

"I stash them in random places in case I need to throw them at your head"

"Monster" with that she came running toward me with more books and throwing them as she went.

She's fucking crazy. And I'm completely and utterly in love with her.

"Come on Mateo I know you can probably run faster than than" I halted and felt her run into me.

"Probably? Do you think I'm weak or something, of course I can run faster than that"

She raised a brow.

"Prove it then" I opened the front door and started running. What I didn't expect was for her to do was to surpass me and stick her tongue out. She stoped though when she saw a girl in the middle of the road. I ran over towards them and stoped standing next to Dina.

"Honey what house is yours I'm sure you parents want you back inside" she said to the girl lowering herself and getting on her level.

"None, I don't live on this street. I live on Calloway st"

"That's several streets over, come on we'll drive you home" Dina took the girls hand and walked her to the car where she got in it and placed the girl on her lap.

Fuck if this isn't too cute.

Once we reached Calloway st we parked at the house the girl claimed to live and knocked on the door.

Her mothers eyes opened wide and she looked at us.

"Jesus Lily you can't run away like that" she griped the girl closely and muttered the words thank you to us. We nodded and said we're a couple streets over if she ever needs to look for her kid again.
