A smoky sword (Captain Smoker X Tashigi)

Part one... admitting feelings

After a long day in Alabasta, Tashigi and the marine troops return to the ship empty handed. When they got on board Tashigi tells Captain Smoker that she let the pirates get away and that she even helped to point them in the direction that they needed to go. He didn't at all seem as mad as she thought he would be. Smoker said "we can always try to capture them again another day." Tashigi agrees and then says "its been a long day and if it's alright with you i would like to go get some rest." He then replies with "that's fine with me but i've got something to talk to you about first. meet me in my quarters in about ten minutes so we can have a little chat. ok?" She replies with "ok. i will see you then, im gonna go get changed first though." As she starts to walk away he says "i will see you in a little while then."

ten minutes pass as Smoker awaits Tashigi's arrival

*knock knock*

"Come in," says Smoker. Tashigi opens the door and walks in. "Ah Tashigi. Please, have a seat" Smoker says. "Can i get you anything? a glass of water maybe" he asks. "No thank you" she replies. What would you like to talk to me about?" As Smoker made his way over to the chair by Tashigi he begins to say, "So. Lets get down to business. I just wanted to say that ever since we have been working together and been partners in the marines i have felt close to you and i enjoy working with you. Now i don't know how you feel but i really enjoy spending time with you." Smoker says as he starts to blush a little. "Tashigi. i guess what i am trying to say is that... I lov--" Smoker is cut off before he could finish talking by Tashigi pulling him over to her and kissing him. She lets him go and when he leans back his eyes are widened with surprise, "I love you too Smoker" Tashigi said softly while she smiled.
