Another day, another time of boredom, another do nothing day. It was Sunday. The one time I'm away from all the dumb jocks, perky cheerleaders, and surprisingly quiet singing geeks. I'm not into all that social media stuff where you get all the gossip and see what people are doing, I'm not a stalker. All I need are my books. The one time I can escape from reality.
"Hayley honey, your breakfast is getting cold!" "Coming Mom!" Can't my mom understand that on a Saturday all I want to do is read, nothing else but, reading. I could smell the bacon cooking from the very top stair of the staircase. Even though I wanted to read my book I was mesmerized by the bacon. So, I sat down at the table where a plate with bacon, eggs and pancakes sat with a side of orange juice.
"Hayley what's the gossip? Any cute boys?" My mom always wanted to know everything about me and what was happening around me. She was like a gossiper that specializes in my life. "There's no gossip mom." I get more and more annoyed every time I say it. "Well, I picked up a magazine when I got my coffee and it had Justin Timberlake on it and I know how much you like him....." "Mom!" "Ok, anyways I picked it up for you." "Thanks mom!!!" I darted up to my room and started flipping through the pages.
There was gossip from Taylor Swift to Jennifer Lawrence! I wanted to keep looking and looking but before I knew it, it was 12:30! I didn't even eat lunch! I ran down stairs and grabbed a quick snack (a package of mini blue berry muffins that had a package made to amuse 2 year olds to beg there moms to get it.) I ran to the tv to watch old glee re runs. I'm not a good singer but I like watching good singers.
I woke up with a mini muffin smushed in my face and my body on the floor. Now it was 7:00, I slept for 6 and a half hours! The only thing I could do now was go in my room and read the magazine my mom got me. I flipped to page 32 it talked about Bella Thorne giving beauty types, they were surprisingly helpful due to my last experience with believing advice from a magazine. Let's just saw I was stuck with blue hair for 2 months.
Then on page 33 I found this weird article about Zodiac Signs. What even is a Zodiac Sign? I started reading it thinking it would be boring but once I read more and more it got interesting. Apparently I'm a Virgo sign because I was born on August 27th. Each sign has its own personality, choices, and dreams. I closed the magazine and put it on my night stand. As I feel asleep I thought to myself how can a myth really affect you?
As Hayley dosed off a bright light source made its way into her room. As the light touches her it left the Zodiac Sign of a Virgo and the light source vanished.
