Millions of eyes peered at her, sizing up her every move like she was prey. Undefinable words were wispered in her ear, coming from no particular direction.Fear gripped her and refused to let go until she caved. Gingerly, she tried reaching out to find something. Brushing a figure, she recoiled in shock, not expecting to be successful in her search for answers.
The figure in front of her started to become more visible, despite the lack of lighting. The figure took the shape of a man, his head bowed down hiding his face from view.
"Hello?" she said in a voice that was not her own.
After a full minute of silence, she pulled her hand back to her sides and tried again.
"Hello?!"
A hand shot out from the figure at incredible speed and clung tightly to her upper arm. Panicking, she barely managed to choke back a scream when the hands nails dug into her flesh.
The figure raised its head slowly. Meaningfully. It's dead eyes clawing into her soul. It opened its unhinged mouth and -
*Beep* *beep* *beep*
*Beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *be-*Her blue eyes flew open in shock, scanning her room for danger. Feeling satisfied, she lent against the headboard of her bed to calm her breathing before snuggling back into the warm sanctuary of the covers.
*beep* *beep* *beep*
"Damn! School!"
The girl threw herself out of bed and into the bathroom before she could realize how cold it actually was.
Their was a peaceful silence that envoloped the house for five minutes before being shattered by the thumping of shoes on stairs. Stuffing a slice of toast in her mouth, she flew out of the door.

"Kumi!" a cheery voice yelled from across the hall. A bright brunette girl scuttled towards the half asleep Kumi (who was trying desperately to multitask carrying her bag, and 3 cups of MC Donald's coffee).Over the Easter holidays, Kumi hadn't seen her friend group much despite the fact that it was finally growing warmer in her town.
"wow. You look like a train wreck."
Kumi grunted in response, feeling the second cup slip down her arm a little.
"sooooo, how was your holiday?"
"it was good I guess, though... I did sleep through most of it. What did you do Ames? "
Finally giving up with the cups, she shoved them onto the stage at the front of the hall.
" Nothing too exciting. Oh, hey Beth!"
"hey". A short blondish haired girl weaved her way past multiple groups of people towards the stage, white Beats headphones wrapped around her neck.
"Here, hold this", she said handing Kumi a long tangle of wire."so how was your-"
"Hello everyone and welcome back to school" the headmaster boomed, signaling that it was the time to get into their seats for assembly.
The three friends mirrored eachothers look. The buckle in for the world's longest speach about nothing look.
"-I'm also happy to announce that there is a new student joining us this year. Luke Parker will be joining form group SD. "
Kumi looked up shocked. Someone else joining their form? This was srange. Despite the handful of quality people, it was still classed as the 'trouble form'. Maybe he was just a replacement for that boy... Johnathan Wells that got expelled last month for switching the erasable board pen for a cleverly disguised sharpie.
Scanning the row of seats infront of her, she met a pair of forrest green eyes that she didn't recognize. Luke Parker. She was unprepared for what she saw. Long Sandy blonde hair half covered his deep green eyes. His skin was pale, with only a slight tan. But his eyes... She couldn't look away.
Warmth spread across her cheeks and it took a minute to realise she was blushing, before turning her head in embarrassment.
What's gotten into me?!
