Everything is dark. Then an enormous glow floods my vision. I lean forward and hold my hands in front of my eyes to shield them from the blinding light. Then I feel warmth, a wonderful sensation on my skin. I feel my cheeks slide into a slight smile. I love it when the sun comes through my window in the morning.
I close my eyes and lean back, but instead of my head falling onto my pillow, I feel nothing. I loose the feeling of my mattress beneath me. Suddenly I'm falling.
I start to breathe faster. I hear my heartbeat pound like a drum around me. There's an awful pit in my stomach as I drop like a heavy wight, plummeting fast.
I open my mouth to scream, but nothing comes out except a small huffing sound. I try again but my voice fails me.
I start to feel hot. It's as if the light is creating a pocket of heat around me. I can't breathe. I can't breathe! Something is keeping me from breathing in. I can't take it...
"I want to wake up!" I loudly rasp with every sliver of strength I can pull from the depths of my heavy body.
Then the brilliant light starts to fade. I can no longer hear my heartbeat echoing. The pit in my stomach goes away. I'm left with nothing.
Everything is dark once again...
