After she acknowledges that the police and forensics can't just sit back and watch all these people die. Ariel marches into work and demands,
"All of our equipment, all of the typical work we do to solve these cases, IS CHANGING BECAUSE WE ARE NOT SITTING BACK AND WATCHING ALL THESE PEOPLE DIE, WE NEED TO GET OFF OUR FUCKING ASSES AND GET TO WORK"
All of her team nodded in agreement and then boom, their team started working much harder, not taking many days off, analysing crime scenes and evidence time after time again just in case any new links to the killer was spotted.
She felt proud that now she feels closer and closer to tracking this killer down and stopping people dying every week.
She felt as if she would save the world.
It did tire her out, she would come home late at nights most days and would be even too tired to eat. It drifted her away from her husband and her son because she was barely there anymore, she was always working. At the same time, all she wanted was this killer behind bars.

Or even dead. Even if it meant blood would be on her hands.

Work was basically her second home, where she spent hour after hour going over updates on cases or updating cases, she enjoyed it though.

Meanwhile, in a hidden abandoned warehouse, where it was dark as a ravens skin, with only light from a old fractured computer that looked as a classic, first-made one. With a long black gown, and a twisted evil mask of red broad eyes which looked like they never blinked, no fat on the cheeks just pure hard bone of his jawline like the after result of eating all the chicken. The twisted evil smile which even gave his little helpers shivers in their bodies. There was stood Mr Ready or Not. He was looking at all the cameras of which showed all the game rooms.

He was looking through at his next lot of victims who he manipulated to come, through a cash reward at the end for the last one standing. As his victims were crying out to go back home to their families, very creepily, Ready or Not had a book of every single citizen in this town, from baby to elder.

He was analysing the list of police officers and their family trees. He was fascinated in looking through Ariel and her family tree, then he picked up his pen and circled one of the next he could choose. Her son. Out of all the people he chose, he never felt as proud as he did when he decided, Ariel's son is next. He wanted this to make her proper feel like a slap in the face. He never felt so much glory in such evil action.
