gone too soon

chapter 1

"Come in! Come in! dont be shy!" Guppie said, welcoming in the guests, she was a grand woman who was always dressed in over the top dresses and you could tell by looking at her that she was very wealthy. If you couldnt tell by her outfit, you could definitely tell by her massive house fitted with butlers and maids. Standing next to her was a more reserved girl called effe who was greeting the guests with a more quiet hello. They were the complete opposite which is probably why they are soulmates. Right?

The first guest to arrive was Wren, she was 19 and had just finished her A levels with As all around! She was dressed in black jeans and a red button up shirt with glasses and a high ponytail. As you could guess, Wren took pride in being early to things and in always being prepared for anything.

Next to arrive was star and ziya, who, although were an odd pair, seemed to be best friends and always seemed to be together. Ziya had a blue dress and curled hair and Star had jeans and a star wars shirt on. They were also the comeplete opposite. Effe seemed to be visiably uncomfortable with them being there and even tried to mention it to guppie but she was too busy chatting to wren to pay any attention.

About half an hour later, Rue and Evan arrived.
"Sorry we took so long, evan couldnt find his hat" Rue said and pointed to Evan, who had a cowboy hat on.
Guppie glared at Evan and said "Sorry but your not allowed to wear that hat. It has to be formal."
"Oh fuck off Guppie" Evan said before barging past her to sit in the drawing room.
"sorry about him" Rue said before following Evan.

Last to arrive was Lottie who still hadnt put makeup when she arrived. Wren stared at lottie who was holding a makeup bag in her hand. She took the bag and said "You look fine without makeup" and smiled at her. Lottie blushed slightly and muttered thank you before disapearing awkwardly into the living room where Effe and Evan were. Evan was in the middle of screaming at her and Effe looked like she was close to tears. But when Lottie walked in they both mumbled excuses and dispersed into different rooms like nothing had happened.

Soon, dinner was ready and everyone sat down at the table, chatting to one another and laughing. But, something was off, Effe couldnt hold a conversation because she kept finding herself staring at star or ziya and Evan was still glaring at Effe. Any attempts Rue made to talk to Evan was quickly shut down by Evans sharp and cold responses.

Dinner was interupted by Effe suddenly coughing and spluttering before collapsing on the ground.
"oh shit." Lottie said, just staring.
"SOMEONE CALL A DOCTER!" Rue yelled, kneeling next to effe and checking her pulse.
Wren ran to the phone and Ziya and Star carried Effe to her room to rest. Nobody wanted to talk to eachother after that, they all just sat on the couch in the living room. All apart from Wren who was upstairs with Effe and the doctor, like the perfect person she was.
