"(NAME)!!!! " Upon hearing the scream, your body jolted, waking you up immediately. You looked up while rubbing your eyes and there you see your childhood best friend."Edgar..? What are you doing here? Stop screaming. " He looks at you with an annoyed smile."You dumbass, it's 7:00 AM already! I've been waiting in front of your house for 10 minutes. " Edgar crossed his arm while huffing, you sighed and kicked Edgar out of your room so you can get ready.
"It's your fault we are 5 minutes late! ""Chill Ed, it's not like we're late... You just want more time before school starts. " You two argued on your way to school, it's like a normal routine for you two. While walking in silence, you had something that crossed your mind."Say Eddie, why don't you have any friends besides me? Wouldn't it be better if you have more? " Edgar scoffed and you know that his arrogant side would come out."No. Having you as a friend is tiring enough and I don't want a distraction. Painting alone is good enough than making friends, well I wouldn't mind if we painted together... " He mumbled the last part so you can't really hear it."Huh? What was th-""Nothing, now shut up. " Edgar flicked your forehead making you wince and rub it to relieve the pain.
You knew that would be his answer, it's rare to see Edgar interacting with other people due to his cold and arrogant attitude. You knew him for 11 years, close enough for him to act softer around you. Unlike Edgar, you are almost the opposite of him. Though you prefer not to talk to anyone besides Edgar if it's not important. You only have a few friends, Emma and Victor.Your thoughts were interrupted when Edgar nudge your arm. Tilting your head, he sighs."You didn't hear me, didn't you? ""Oops..? Sorry! " You playfully pat his head."Hey! You'll mess up my hair!! Anyways I think you should come to my house after school, Maple missed you so much. " Edgar huffed.

You buried your head in your arm as Edgar looked at you and sighed."I take it your class didn't go well? " You raised your head and nodded. Edgar hummed while sketching something in his sketchbook. It was lunch time though you both preferred not to eat school's lunch.
"Today's art class is horrible... " You mumbled, Edgar only did a "go on" motion."Ms. Claude paired me and Vera as a team to learn about perspective, Vera didn't even care and continued whatever she was doing. " Rubbing your forehead in frustration, Edgar only pats your head in silence for comfort. Soon the bell rang meaning you both have to bid goodbyes and go to class.
