Everybody had always told Jennie that florists don't make a lot of money, especially her parents. They told her she should get a job at a big company, not go around selling flowers. They told her nobody buys flowers anymore.

But, of course, Jennie being Jennie, doesn't listen. Thankfully, her parents were not in fact jerks that don't like their only child, they still supported her, however, Jennie could still feel the disappointment in them, and the young woman was determined to show them that all you need to make a lot of money is to get creative.

And getting creative is exactly what Jennie did. When the brunette moved out of the big city of Seoul and into a smaller yet sizable town, Jennie knew what she was going to do. Open a flower shop with its own twist.

Jennie had always taken a liking to psychology, especially studies related to personalities and such. She had always found it fascinating how every human that has ever been on Earth has their own distinct personalities that no one else would have.

When the brunette finally opened the shop after a long time of planning and preparing, she was ready. She stuck posters that advertised the flower shop with big bold letters at the bottom, "guessing your personality based on your favorite flower!"

Truth be told, Jennie wasn't really guessing personality based on flowers alone. No no, she looked at body language, speech, and eye contact. Jennie would be scanning them like she was a guard looking for suspicious behavior from their suspects.

Turns out, it did wonders for Jennie's flower shop because people would be coming in excitedly, asking Jennie if it's really true that she could guess their personality based on their favorite flower. At first, the young woman wasn't sure if this was really working, but everyone that came in would not only be surprised when Jennie guesses right, but they would also be buying flowers as a "wow, that was so cool!" gesture.

However, Jennie has had her eyes set on a certain raven for the past few days. The black-haired girl first appeared with a blonde friend to buy some flowers. Of course, Jennie listened to what the blonde said and what type of flowers does Jennie suggest to buy, she couldn't help but take a look at the beautiful woman standing behind the blonde.

It was as if Jennie was face-to-face with a goddess. The brunette could feel her cheeks heat up and even when Jennie went to the back to get the flowers the blonde girl wanted, Jennie just couldn't shake off that raven. Was she blessed by the beauty or cursed by it? The young woman had no idea.

"Here you go!" Jennie said, trying her best to avoid making eye contact with the raven, thankfully she was busy talking to her friend.

"I'm sure Lisa would love this." The raven said something for the first time, and wow Jennie was shocked by the voice. With those feminine features, Jennie had expected the voice to be high-pitched, but it was deep and husky, it was unique.

"Are you sure?" The blonde girl turned and faced the raven.

"Lisa's literally in love with you, Chaeyoung. She will even accept dirt if it came from you." The woman chuckled as the blonde, who was apparently called Chaeyoung, whined and slapped her shoulders.

"I don't know why I asked you to come with me." Chaeyoung shook her head and went out of the store first, her black-haired friend following just behind.

"Thanks, by the way!" Completely taking Jennie by surprise, the raven turns around and waves back at the brunette, thanking her. Jennie could only manage a small wave before the door was closed and she was all by herself again.

"She... talked to me."

"SHE SAID THANKS TO ME!" Jennie jumped, celebrating. No one acts rationally when it comes to love, not even Jennie Kim.

A couple of days later, while the brunette was scrolling on her phone mindlessly at the back, she heard a bell, indicating that someone had entered the shop. Jennie quickly stood up, dusting off her clothes before looking out to see the exact same raven from just a few days ago.

Yes, the same raven that came in with the blonde.

The same raven that looked like a literal goddess.

The same raven that said thanks to Jennie.

And the same raven that Jennie's hopelessly attracted to.

The black-haired girl seems to have come alone, looking at the flowers on display. Jennie coughs a little to get her attention. The raven turned around and gently smiled, and the young woman could feel her heart beat faster.

"Hey, is your name Aphrodite? Because you look like the goddess of beauty." Jennie flirted, in a lame way. Really lame. The raven pursed her lips tightly in order not to burst out laughing, and the brunette mentally facepalmed.

"Sorry, I'm not exactly good at flirting. You're here to buy some flowers, right?" The brunette asked, pretending her attempt at flirting never even existed.

"Mhm, that and this personality test thing. I don't believe in it, but hey, it's good material for my blog." The raven answered as she came closer, inspecting a flower vase that was on the table next to the cash register.

"You're a blogger?" Jennie was interested.

"Yeah! I just write about things that happen in this town, my own interests too, and you just happened to be the next big thing in this small quiet place." The woman shrugged.

"So, what's your favorite flower, m'lady?" The brunette jokingly bowed down while in reality, she turned into a detective, analyzing the black-haired girl's speech and movement.

"This one's my favorite, lily of the valley. I like it because my mom likes it, and my mom is everything to me." The raven smiled as she grabbed a vase full of that type of flower.

"Lily of the valley, huh? That means you're..." Jennie paused, thinking. The woman was quite hard to read, but Jennie wasn't going to give up.

"You're humble, sweet, and caring. You also value your parents, especially your mother." She finished, the raven nodded, seemingly impressed.

"Wow, you must be good at reading people." The raven placed down the vase before walking to the corner of the shop.

"Can I get these?" Jennie walked over, looking at what the raven picked.

"Yellow hyacinths? For who?" The brunette asked as she picked them up and brought them over to the cash register.

"For someone you probably know." Jennie was confused at that statement, she doesn't really know anyone here. The raven handed cash over and asked Jennie for her name, "What was your name again?"

"Jennie, what about you?" Jennie could've sworn she saw a glint of mischief as the raven grabbed the hyacinths, holding it close to her chest. The woman closed her eyes, confusing the brunette.

"Kim Jisoo, but you can call me yours." Jisoo knelt down, handing the flowers over to Jennie who froze in shock.

"You- I- Well- I just- Uhm- You-" The brunette stuttered and Jisoo couldn't help but laugh as she stood up again, taking something out of her pocket and holding it along with the hyacinth.

"You- Are you asking me out?" Jennie had managed to finally say a proper sentence, the raven only nodded in amusement.

"Oh, wow..."

"Mhm, so what do you say? 6 PM tonight? I know a nice diner down the streets." Jisoo pointed.

"Y-yeah! Of course! 6 PM... a date with you..." The brunette murmured as she looked down, a little embarrassed.

"Alright, cutie. Here's the flower, my number's there too. Don't forget to dress nicely, and call me when you're ready! I'll come to pick you up." Jisoo walked out, not forgetting to wink at the frozen florist.

"Oh my god. What the fuck just happened." Well, one thing's for sure, Jennie has to impress Jisoo in any way she can.

A/N: Hi, I'm starting a collection of oneshots. These are just small ideas that came up and aren't long enough to become its own book, and it's also to help me get my creative brain juices flowing again so I can continue Deception. Sorry if it's taking a while btw, I promise I won't cancel the book.
