It was seven in the evening. The boys were sitting idly in Zayn's home. I was also there. Liam stepped in, and to my greatest horror, he was reading my book. He said, "Hey guys, have y'all read this new book called 'Just A Small Town Girl'? It's wonderful, isn't it?" Harry replied, "Yeah, I bought it too. Really nice book. I wonder who is Lilibeth. It sounds like a pen name though." Then, Zayn stepped in with a huge plate filled with samosas and six cups filled with chai tea. I tried to change the topic, "Hey guys, did any of you go to Greece yet? It's my favourite destination for a holiday." Louis replied, "Yeah Greece sounds expensive and exotic. I'd rather spend the vacation in Niall's basement." The boys laughed.

Zayn's sister asked me to participate in their Laser Tag match. I always won in laser tag, so I was pretty excited. Niall was big time loosing in front of me. Liam joked, "Niall will now go into his fifth depression for this month." Suddenly, Harry again brought up the conversation about my book. He said, "Yeah so back to the new book. Let's search the website from the back cover of the book. That way we'll know who the author..." But I didn't let him finish what he was saying. I interrupted Harry, "Okay guys, any of you like this band called My Chemical Romance? I am really into that band." Louis replied, "Yeah. Welcome To The Black Parade is their best song." I continued the conversation, "No I think Teenagers is their best song so far. I also like this song called I'm Not Okay. Kinda gives me the 90's punk feeling."

By that time, I noticed that Harry was staring at me with a suspicious look on his eyes. Did he understand something? Right then, I got a phone call. To my bad luck, it was Mary Taylor. Ugh, couldn't she find any other time to call? I excused myself and got to the balcony to answer the call. I was speaking in whispers. Mary said, "Hey Ava! Your book has taken the city by storm! Within one week of its release, a lot of people bought it. There are lots of reviews in the internet as well. For example, I read this one in the morning which said: 'Just A Small Town Girl' is a good plot which screams that hope is the only thing we have when we don't have anything. Ava, congratulations! The world knows you as Lilibeth, it's time you reveal yourself." I replied softly, "Yeah I'll give it a thought. And thanks for the check. I recieved it in my bank account." I immediately cut the call and looked back. Two eager eyes witnessed everything and was looking for answers.

I turned back and flashed a weak smile, "Hey Harry. Let's so and continue the Laser Tag match." Harry ignored my statement completely and said, "Now I'm sure why you were interrupting me everytime I brought up the topic of your book. Ava, you seriously wrote that novel? It's crazy! Why were you hiding it? OH MY GOD GUYS COME HERE AAHHAHA." With that, I thought this was the end of my life. It took just a few seconds for Harry to explain everything to the boys. I heard a few squeaky shouts from the room. Harry rushed towards me, grabbed my hand and brought me to the living room. His eyes were glistening with excitement.

Zayn started, "Ava, are you actually the author of 'Just A Small Town Girl'?" I didn't have any other option except to nod and confirm the truth. Instantly, a scream was heard from Louis. Liam was in a state of shock. Niall was laughing. Zayn was smiling. But Harry... He was facing his back towards me and standing near the window with his arms and eyebrows crossed. I was scared. Did I just loose a friend? I went towards him and gently placed my hands on his shoulders. He shook his shoulders and freed it from my hands. I was shocked. I asked, "Harry, what's up? Did I do something wrong?" He replied, "No. You wrote something good, and you hid it from me? Is our friendship actually so fragile? Are we even real friends? I thought friends are supposed to say everything to each other." I calmly said, "Harry, there are lots of things which can't be revealed just like that. Even if you are my friend. I was feeling uncomfortable to say it. I don't want fame you know?" Suddenly, Harry screamed out, "Yeah, no, you don't want fame, but you don't want friendship either, do you? This just leaves me questioning my decisions." He glared one last time at me and walked away. I just stood there and tried to process what just happened. I was too scared to say something.

The boys watched it. Zayn came up to me and said, "Hey Ava, it's okay. Don't cry please. Come on, I have some more samosas left in my lunch box. Have some. You'll feel better."
