I felt something warm reach my hand. I don't care what it is but I kept my eyes closed. I don't know why I'm this scared. I've been scared of planes for awhile now. Now that I think of it. I heard the man in the black jackets voice say something to the boy next to me but I couldn't make it out. It was like he was scowling him for something.
Whatever touched my hand is staying there. I started to give up on the whole "scared of plane" idea and being scared of whats on my hand. I give a quick glance to my hand on the left, only it wasn't only my hand there. There was two. The boy in white with the sunglasses was holding my hand. I kept thinking this is the most awkward thing ever. I knew he was just trying to help my fear. I closed my eyes again and shifted my hand hopeing to escape his, bad move Alynna. He put his hand over mine moving his fingers ever so slightly rubbing my hand.
I tried not to frown or smile, I just sat there with an awkward face. Before I knew it the plane was off the ground. It wasn't as bad as I expected, maybe it wasn't bad just because this random guy is holding my hand and that's all I'm worrying about. When he saw my face lighten up he took his hand off, like nothing happened. I moved my hand back to my lap. I looked at the window, what just happened stayed here, but I couldn't get it out of my mind. Eventually I looked over to him and smiled and mouthed 'thanks' . I hope he saw it, again I can't tell.
Well he did because he turned his head torwds me and smiled, "Your welcome." I decided I wouldn't mind sitting next to him, he seemed friendly. I had around 7 hours to waste. I decided to ask him about his sunglasses, it took be a minute to figure out what clever way I could say it. Why are you wearing sunglasses? Is the sun this bright? No.. I thought of a cheesy one. "Is the lights so bright you have to wear shades?" Too late, I was spouse to think that. In the end I said it out loud.
He laughed silently. I joined in laughing too.
"I never like to take them off," he says smoothly like he's said this way to many times.
"Oh, I see." I replied. I was curious, I feel like he is lieing through his teeth. Maybe he's telling the truth, who knows. I certainly don't.
"What's your name, love?" He asks me. I actually felt pretty embarrassed.
"Alynna." I smiled. "Whats yours?" He look flustered. Like he wanted to tell me but he forgot his name. He looked to the man near the aisle. I couldn't tell what he was saying or what his expression was. He looked back at me.
"Louis. Nice to meet you." He smiled this time I knew he was looking at me. I could see one eye barley from under his glasses. I'm so curious I wanted to just rip them off his face. Then I thought of bad outcomes and put that thought in the back of my mind.
"Nice to meet you Louis!" I stated in a happy tone. He nodded and we both laughed. I ran out of ways to start a new conversation. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and started to play doodle jump on it. I cheered to myself as I beat my high score. Louis noticed and started to chuckle quietly. I explained that I got a high score and he nodded and took out his phone.
He started to play doodle jump too. I laughed and challenged him to get a higher score than me, he bet me that if I win then he will buy me a drink. If I loose I buy him a drink. It was fair and fair, I demanded to win. I didn't have much money at it is, but grandma would surely give me some if I ran out. We got so intense on our games we were acting like children. We gave the time limit of 10 minutes. Around 6 minutes he was beating me by 100 points. When I got up to his score and lost I laughed pretty loud and acted like I was going to throw my phone. Around 2 minutes left I beat him by 50 points. I was so happy. I swear he gave up because he started to barley get any points. I didn't want him to let me win because I'm a girl. On second hand, I do enjoy free drinks. The time was up.
"Your good at this game." Louis smiled at me. I smiled back and laughed slightly.
"You don't have to buy me a drink, it was fun playing with you." I slowly put down my phone and locked it. He did the same.
"It's on me, love." He pressed the service button and less than a minuet someone came down to our row. She was a short lady with dark raven hair. Her eyes were bright green and I couldn't look away.
"Two coctails." he looked my way, I just shrugged. The girl nodded than rushed off to who knows where. I never paid attention to what rooms are in planes. I decided to open up my phone and text my mom. I wanted her to know I'm having a pleasant filled time.
"On the plane, some guy buying me a drink(: Wish you were here! -Alynna"
Louis saw me texting, he opened his mouth as to ask something then closed it and looked away. I shoved my phone back in my pocket then looked up as the same lady came back with two drinks. She said something but I couldn't hear her. She handed them both to Louis and then disappeared in a flash. He gave me one of them and took the other for himself. I smiled, "Thanks."
"Your welcome babe." I blinked at the word babe. Gosh Americans shouldn't be talking to British people. My grandmother is British, I am too. It's been so long I forgotten everything. I slowly took a sip of the drink. It was sweet and lovely tasting.
Louis brought his to his mouth the same time I did, except the top of the glass hit his nose and some of the drink splashed out on him. I giggled uncontrollably. He swolled what he got in his mouth then quickly wiped off his hoodie with his hand.
"Maybe if you took your sunglasses off you won't make a mess." I said sarcastically. I re listened to what I said in my head and realized it came out sorta mean. Of cource he didn't take it that way. He smiled real big then wiped off his nose. "At least take your hood off," I whispered. He looked at me, maybe without the sun glasses he might be staring at me wide eyed. I will never know.
He slipped his hood back, revealing a hat with some hair sticking out. It was cute overall, but his sunglasses staid on.
"Cute hair." I joked. Some of the pieces stuck straight up out of the hat.
"I try my best" Louis looked to the left opposite of me and gave a little pose of his hair before turning back to me with a cheeky grin.
I felt my phone vibrate and instantly took it out shifting the drink to my left hand. I read mum's text back.
"Glad your having a good time. Me too hun. -Momma"
Yes, I do have her in my phone as momma. It just makes me feel younger. If someone takes my phone, I'll be embarrassed for life. I pressed the reply butten and wrote back.
"Love you, -Alynna"
I already knew what she was going to reply with. I noticed Louis looking at me. Or at least I think so... Those glasses, get on my nerve. He sat back in his seat leaning back his head trailing off to one side. I figured he was going to take a nap. I put my drink in the arm rest, where a cup holder was placed. Louis was there too, only it was almost gone. I took another sip before dozing off too. I didn't want to make it like I didn't want the drink. It would be rude. My pocket buzzed again, I took it out and laid it on the arm rest. I think Louis was already asleep. His friend was at least. Mom replied, Love you too. I didn't bother to reply. I left my phone there and then laid my head back to sleep as well.
I woke to someone pushing on my arm. It was a bit scary at first I didn't recognize them, then they smiled and I knew who it was instantly.
I'm happy with this chapter. Wish it could be longer, sorry there so big. I hate small chapters.
Who do you think is pushing on her arm?
Talk it out in the comments :)
ALSO;. The chapter picture he has a hat on too! With a hood.
