Roomies

After the tour with the counselor, Emicott decided to settle in the hostel. She went to the Mistress' office to get her room number and key.
" Your room is number 16. We hope you have a lovely stay in Brooklyn College" said the housekeeper.
Emicott politely nodded before walking out. She picked up her boxes and started up the stairs looking for room 16...
   "Finally, why does room 16 have to be so high"said Emicott when she finally found the door she was looking for. She pushed the door open and two girls turned to look at her....
"Hi, you must be the new roommate. I'm Stella Amore "said the blonde girl with a smile.
"I'm Diana Demo "said the redhead with a smile.
       Elise flashed her killer smile before saying "I'm Elise Emicott Rendel and it's nice to meet you ".
"Such smile is going to get the boys in Brooklyn College chasing you about " said Diana with with a polite grin.. They all burst into laughter. Diana's phone turns on with a notification.
  " Hey guys if we unpack on time we can make it to the welcome party " said Diana. "Shit I totally forgot about the welcome party. What I'm I going to wear?Oh my God so many hot boys!! Be calm Brooklyn boys there's enough of Stella to go round said Stella checking out a dress for the party.
     Elise only smiles in response. "Let me guess you're not a party person right Elise" said Stella tossing her dresses around. "No it's not that I don't want to go for the party with you guys. It's just going to take a long time for me to unpack all my stuff" said Elise not wanting to offend them. She didn't totally care what they thought about her but she liked to live in peace especially if she would have to share a room with them for the rest of the year.
       "That's no biggie Elise, I'm almost done unpacking. I'll help you out and I'm sure we'll be done and ready to go... The party doesn't even start till 9 yunno" said Diana resting a hand on Elise's shoulder.
     "Alright then" said Elise trying not to make things awkward.
  *Few Hours Later*
"It hasn't even been 24 hours since we got into Brooklyn college and Bella is already all Queen Diva mode... She makes me cringe" said Stella
    "Tell me about it. So full of herself. I thought that would end in highschool but oh boy was I wrong. Heard she already has a full squad" said Diana with an irritated expression.
     Elise was confused cause she didn't know who this bella was. "Who is Bella? Royalty??" Asked Elise confused
Diana and Stella sighed.
"You see most students in Brooklyn College graduated from Brooklyn high school. One of the best here in London. That's how I know Diana. We've been friends since forever" said Stella brushing her blonde hair. Now Bella, attended Brooklyn high just like the rest of us but she was a bully. She only talked to people in the Brooklyn class as she used to call it and the rest of the school population was under her feet. Everyone feared her mostly because her Dad's part of the school board. We hate her and she hates us too because we refused to join the Brooklyn class if it meant we couldn't have relationships with the rest of the school " said Diana helping Stella style her ponytail...
   "So Bella is technically bad news " said Elise arranging her toiletries in her wardrobe.
   "She's terrible " said Diana and Stella in unison. They burst into laughter. Diana and Stella decide to wear short dresses and sneakers with light makeup to the party.
    " Makeup??"Asked Stella pointing her hair brush at Elise. Elise looks at her simple dress in the mirror and her boots and nods her head. Stella squeals and gets to work immediately... She settles for nude makeup as it would compliment Elise's chocolatey skin as she referred to it better. The three girls are ready to go when Diana holds Elise's hand and says " you're new in the City, stay close, don't take drinks from strangers and majority of Brooklyn boys are Jerks so beware"
    "You're scaring her Diana. What she's trying to say is... Brooklyn College can be a shitty hole if you let your guard down so much. Last year we heard a girl committed suicide" said Stella putting her hands on Elise's shoulder .
   "And you say I'm the one scaring her" says Diana with a smirk .
    "Suicide!!! But it wasn't in the papers " said Elise surprised.
   "Well someone told someone who told someone who told Diana who told me that the family was given huge compensation to keep their mouth shut " said Stella with a shrug
    "That's a lot of information. Why'd she do it though asked Elise curious.
"Well someone who told someone who told someone told Stella's brother who told Stella who told me that she was drugged at a party, raped and when she found out she was pregnant, she couldn't handle it. Turns out her parents weren't doing so well financially and she couldn't bring herself to tell them " said Diana shaking her head.
    Elise couldn't say anything but the story was familiar she just couldn't say place her finger on it. She shrugged the feeling off.
   "But that's all bullshit though. The night is young. Let's go party " said Stella hooking her arms in between Diana and Elise and leading them out of the hostel.
