"The chocolate room." Mr Wonka finished as the door opened

"Hold your breath. Make a wish. Count to three."

"Come with me and you'll be

In a world of pure imagination

Take a look and you'll see

Into your imagination"

He sang, whipping his cane so no-one could be impatient and slip past. You immediately recognised the song, and decided to join in.

You walked up and stood beside him, slightly wary of his cane.

"We'll begin with a spin

Travelling in the world of my creation

What we'll see will defy explanation"

You harmonised softly, moving in sync with Mr Wonka.

You heard his cane swooshing and striking the stone and giggled as you imagined the faces of the girls when it struck right in front of them. You both walked down the stairs rather weirdly, still in sync. It was like you both knew what the other was going to do.

And then you looked at Charlie, who seemed very lost at the side of the group. You moved over next to him.

"What's wrong Charlie?"

"That bratty girl over there is looking at me funny."

Looking over, you had just enough time to analyse Veruca's expression before she turned away.

"OooOooo! Charlie, she's interested in you." You whispered, teasing him lightly

"She's not my type Y/n!" You snickered at his disgust "Shut uppp! You know that she would leave me after two weeks."

You nodded understandingly and, still smiling, turned your attention back to Mr Wonka. He was just finishing his verse, stroking Mike's hair. Then he pulled one out. You and Charlie giggled at Mike's expression - one of betrayal and confusion - and had a hard time keeping quiet so as to not get any looks from the rest of the group.

Mr Wonka did a weird dance down the stairs and twirled his cane around smartly, indicating for the group to run off into the amazing room. He flicked his cane from one hand to the other, and offered his arm to you. You blushed, an took it, walking along with him. You decided to do a rather theatrical skip to show your happiness, and he joined in, weirdly knowing how to do it too.

You both started singing again as he twirled his cane again, stabbing an up-turned mushroom cap, and held it like a little parasol.

"There is no life I know To compare with pure imagination"

You both backed up against a pillar, singing dreamily into the room.

"Living there you'll be free if you truly wish to be"

You both strolled around for a bit, Mr Wonka handing you sweets as the rest of the group buzzed around you.

You soon found yourselves on a path with sweet balloons. Kicking at them, you watched them rise up. You both started spinning as you sang again.

"If you want to view paradise

Simply look around and view it

Anything you want to, do it

Want to change the world?

There's nothing to it"

He offered a sweet to you, and you took it, thoughtfully eating it. You both sat down in a patch of flowers, and he gave you one as you started to sing again.

"There is no life I know

to compare with pure imagination

living there

You'll be free

If you truly wish

To be"

You both took sips of the strangely floral tea in-between lines. He bit into his cup after he finished it, and you followed in suit.

"So" He said, suddenly rather surprised, "How do you know that song?"

"My father always sang it to me when I felt down." You replied solemnly

"Who was your father?"

"F/n L/n"

"Oh." He said, seemingly recognising the name

Out of nowhere, a thick german accent cut through the peaceful mood......

A/N: My dad always gets creeped out by the slightly off-tune bells in this song. I think that it's rather charming. I would like to get other points of view, so feel free to tell me your opinions of this song in the comments!
