Log #327
It's almost been a year since the project started, and we have made excellent progress!
Everyone has worked hard to complete the project goal, with only a small portion of trash left to repurpose. That means a majority of us will have the chance to go home! Everybody is overjoyed by this, but I find myself with a strange reluctance to leave. Honestly, I don't have anyone waiting for me on Earth. I think I'll request for a lodging position tomorrow. Maybe someone else can enjoy the trip back better than me.
On a lighter note, I have noticed that my time here has changed me, for the better. Months ago, I never would have imagined the things I am capable of now.
Reducing the density of the trash in orbit of Earth...
Operating a fancy garbage ship...
Watching others forge that junk into something else...
It is wondrous, and I know how important a role I have played in all of this. I could prattle on about all the science behind the machine I operate. I could even explain the whole process of how I perfected my skills in garbage collection. Now, it does sound a little silly, but it's space junk. Some of this stuff has been around before I was born! Plus, I do make space more travel safe by cleaning it all up.
In the end, It's just me, myself, and a bit of coms action with coworkers.
Alright, I will leave it here. I have an early day tomorrow at 0600.
Signing off.
