Chapter 23

Leonardo POV.

I heard the sound of gun shot but the bullet hit my princess she came in middle while her dad shot the bullet towards me.

I immediately went forward and held her in my arms she was bleeding heavily the bullet had hit the side of her heart.

Her parents were shocked but Elaina's parents and others escaped. Rick went with our men to catch them. I picked up my princess and towards my car.

Fast drive to the hospital. I yelled at the driver she was bleeding heavily. Luciano and Christiano followed us in their car.

I tried waking her but she gave no response her breathing was really weak. I felt tears falling from my eyes.

Princess please look at me. I said patting her cheeks I was nervous as hell I couldn't lose her she is my everything.

We reached the hospital I carried her inside and laid her on the stretcher. The doctor asked everyone wait outside.

Within few minutes even mom dad arrived. I felt completely numb why did she have to take the bullet for  me why did she risk her life.

Dad patted my shoulder comforting me. While Luciano and Christiano sat on my sides saying it was going to be alright.

The doctor came out in a hurry. She has lost a lot of blood we need blood transfusion now does anyone have A negative blood group.

He asked looking at all of us but we did not have that blood group except for mom. I have the same blood group. Mom said and asked the doctor to take her blood.

They took her blood. I was yet remembering my princess body which was covered with blood. I couldn't protect her.

After what seemed like hours the operation was over. The doctor came out and said. She is fine but she needs time to recover and needs a lot of rest.

The operation was quite complicated so look after her wound and make sure it doesn't opens or touches water. He informed and went away.

I felt my life is back I went inside the room and sat beside her she looked pale with all the needles on her arm and a oxygen mask.

I felt my heart shattered into pieces. I wanted to keep her safe but now she is hurt who asked her to come in between.

Rick entered the room and informed that Elaina's parents were caught. I asked him to keep them in the dark room and ask Elaina what she want me to do with them.
I did not want to leave my princess alone now.

I kissed her forehead softly. Mom,dad and others were relieved that she was fine. I asked Luciano and Christiano to leave with Elaina as I could see even they were exhausted.

But Elaina said if I can have word with her I went out to not disturb my princess.
Brother I never had a brother I take you as one and Angelina is my sister I don't want to have such parents who want to kill my soul sister please punish them as you want. We will be going take care.

Those words I know she is younger than us but mature my brothers are blessed to have her in their life.

They left I was sitting beside my princess holding her hands. I stayed there the whole night not ready to leave my princess here.

The next morning.

I woke up and saw my princess had woken up. I went and called the doctor they checked her wound and said she was fine.
