I'm unlocking my door to my house and when I open it, I see my wife sitting on the couch giving me a nervous look.

I ask setting my purse and keys down on the table, "Mina what's wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?"

She responds, "I need to tell you something, sit down please." I nod and sit on the couch beside her. My heart feels like it's pounding.

I swollow hard and she starts with saying, "I know the information I'm going to tell you, you're going to be mad that I didn't say it sooner, but I was nervous to tell you and now I can't hide it from you anymore."

I ask with my voice shaking, "Um, what is it?" She takes a deep breath and says, "The guys I work for, Mutt and Jeff, they um, they are apart of the illuminati and..."

I ask, "I'm sorry the ILLUMINATI?" She nods and continues, "There is a plan that they have come up with to end the world with nuclear weapons. Everything and everyone will die except for a select few who will live in these outposts to stay safe. I will be the leader of the one here in LA and we have to leave in two days."

I sit there dumbfounded and ask, "Everything and everyone gone? How long have you know about this?" She doesn't answer and I ask again, "Mina, how long have you know about this."

She replies, "Eighteen months." My mouth drops open and I ask, "In the LONG period of time, you didn't think it was important to mention until two days before it freaking happened?"

She replies, "Actually we have to leave in two days to set up and it's a week until the bombs hit." I respond, "Unbelievable, why would they do this? That's so horrible!"

She responds tearing up, "Please don't be mad, I really am sorry, I didn't tell you sooner."

You take a deep breath and say, "It's okay, Mina, it's just a lot to process." She says, "We're going to be fine. We'll live in the outpost and we'll be fine." I nod.

Two days later

We get out of the limo and head inside of the outpost. I ask Mina, "So what's the history of this place?" She replies, "It served as an exclusive boy's school for many years."

I nod and we get into our room and put our luggage down. We receive a tour of the building and Mina says, "I have things to take care of, why don't you go start unpacking." I reply, "Okay." I go our room and start to unpack.

Five days later

I'm sitting on our bed thinking, thinking about how all my friends, family, the animals, and the kind strangers I pass by at the grocery store and give me a smile and wave are all about to die.

  It's happening today, and soon. My heart breaks, they don't deserve this. Especially all the people who are not going to die quickly on impact and survive walking around with nothing left and painful cancer.

  What a slow painful death. I feel so guilty that I'm going to be part of the few who get to keep going. How a lot of the nice people don't get to go on because they didn't know about it or have 100 million dollars just sitting in their back pocket. Or apparently perfect dna, whatever that means.

  Someone knocks on the door and wiping a few tears from my cheek I say, "Come in." Mina opens it and says, "Baby, some of the bombs have already dropped in Tokyo and, here is very soon. We should be expecting people very shortly."

  I sniffle and some more tears fall from my eyes. She closes the door behind her and sits next to me on the bed. She pulls me close to her and says, "I know this is hard. Don't feel guilty, please."

  I reply, "I can't bring anyone with me, I feel guilty I didn't at least try to sneak my brother in or something. We always had such a good relationship. It's hard not to feel guilt."

  She responds, "I know Y/n, I'm sorry I know this is hard." I say, "I love you Mina." She answers, "I love you too."
