"Look at them these are predictors that we can use for a field test, just hear-" "No." Hoskins was interrupted by Owen. Owen hated the idea of having his Raptors take part in a field test. He also hated the fact he would have to get back in their cage. This meant he would have to put his life in danger again. Plus, Blue and probably Zula would get aggravated that he'd be in their habit again.
"C'mon, Owen think of the lives we will save! Think of the money you will make!" Hoskins said pointing at the Raptors who watched the Humans closely. Owen looked back at his Raptors then at Hoskins, "Fine... I'll get ready to get in there but please tell your men not shoot until I give them a reason to." "Whatever you say..." Hoskins said nodding at the agreement.
Zula POV:
I watched as Human Alpha approached the gate with Barry and the plump man. The plump one was smiling while the other two looked distort. How strange... All of a sudden he opened the gate but only enough that he could slide under.
"O-ok! Over here!" He shouted. I noticed that he didn't seem as confident like the last time because this time I smelt the fear radiating of him.
Blue and the others soon came running over to him making sure to let out some loud screeches for intimidation. It actually seemed to work as well.
"What is he doing in here again?!" Blue screeched. Charlie was now covering Owen left side, "I don't know but I'd rather not let him get used to visiting us." He snapped at him.
"Hey! Charlie b-ack up!" Owen shouted. But his voice cracked slightly which threw of any order he had. Echo however didn't seem to want to attack as she was in no action nor mood for it. "Why don't we just leave him alone and go eat?" She suggested slowly backing away.
"No!" I snapped at her, "he's in our territory!"
"Hey! Attention!" He snapped again. Blue, Delta, charlie and I continued to surround him.
Owen stuck his hands out again but stood straight. Blue screeched at him loudly as well as getting into a pouncing stance but the most unexpected thing happened, Owen just screamed. A loud, long scream.
We all stood in silence while he did so. Out of confusion I hissed at him only to receive one back.
I knew humans were weird but this is beyond strange...
"What's he doing?" I asked Blue who was staring at Human alpha blankly. "I'm not sure..." he replied looking to Charlie who also shrugged. Delta walked forward a bit, "Is he trying to talk to us?"
Echo now joined in the conversation, "Zula and I have heard him do the play sounds but I really don't know what that was..."
Without any of us knowing Owen had now backed out of the enclosure to the safety. He had confused us, that was a rare event.
"Wait, he's gone!" Blue snapped now looking at the area that Alpha was in. Charlie let out a sigh, "I'm going to go lay down at the water thing..." With that he and soon after the others left. Leaving Blue and me behind.
"What do you think, Blue?" I asked turning to him. "I don't know..." He nudged me to follow him so I did. We ended up under the walk way that Alpha normally uses. Alpha was on there but not paying any kind to us he was talking to plump man. "I've never heard him scream like that." Blue said looking up at Alpha was a confused face. I decided to take a seat next Blues legs and chill, "Maybe he just came to try and talk?" I suggested now ready to sleep. Blue soon joined me on the floor and rested his head on the ground, "Maybe. He just confuses me. But he's Alpha so I respect whatever the hell that was."
"Yeah me to." I said before drifting of to sleep.
Owen POV:
I watched as the two Raptors fell asleep I had completely confused them. It was nice to know that after I confused them they tried to figure it out. Maybe we should consider acts to try and communicate with them. Soon enough Blue and Zula were joined by Charlie, echo and delta. All of them were asleep in a little pile. For example Echos head was resting on Charlie's back and Deltas tail was on Blues back. It was a sweet sight. I'm still not sure how people think that Raptors have no emotional connections when this is literally infront of them. I remember when we tried to breed them not knowing that they only saw each other in a sibling way. I did try to tell the scientists but they all ignored me. I felt pretty smug when they saw the sibling bond for themselves.
Not like I'd admit but i saw these animals as my own little children. I really did love coming here every day to see them. It was extremely rewarding.

A/N I MADE A FALSE PROMISE! This chapter was way shorter and just a fill in but I can do one better! I've written another story for Jurassic world. It's a Spinosaurus reader!
