It was a day like any other day for Hasumi, he was busy organizing various paperwork related to Akatsuki. Though he had shed his position as vice president of the student council, the very idea of detaching himself from a life of close relationship to work was out of his reach. Who was he kidding, he was a workaholic -and a coffee addict- he took a slow sip from the mug he held in his left hand, not taking his greenish eyes off the document he was currently entertaining himself with. He let the energising bitter taste move across his papillary taste buds before swallowing the warm liquid; as he brought the object to his lips again, the sound of the door interrupted the moment.
He didn't even have time to ask who it was, as the man invited himself in without hesitation. He slowly massaged the dorsum of his nose when he found out that it was Eichi, really, where had he left his manners? On the other hand, leaving aside the small annoyance, he was glad that he had paid him a visit; for the human contact he had had that day couldn't have been more lacking, besides, what better than to receive it from his boyfriend. The smiling blonde stood in the doorframe, still holding the doorknob with his left hand.
"Hello Keito, am I interrupting something?" He questioned with a suspicious tone, as always when he was up to one of his schemes.
He gestured for him to enter the room. He set the cup down on the desk; he took the opportunity to propel himself slightly with the same hand by turning the chair around to face him. His presence always brought him a mixture of suspicion and reassurance, on this occasion he might have been more inclined to the first one.
"Nothing important." Rather, that he couldn't put aside to pay attention to him. "But you could knock before you come in, you know."
Eichi made his way to where he was sitting, he could tell he was in a particularly good mood that day, he also felt a bad feeling about it, Keito knew he was ready to annoy him.
"But it wouldn't be fun if you knew who I was beforehand.~"
He reached his hand towards his face and Keito looked at it with suspicion, but let him proceed. He felt his touch on his cheek and closed his eyes momentarily, losing himself in the warmth of the contrary for a few moments. When he opened them again, he realised that he was hiding something behind his back, in fact, he had walked up there with his hands behind him. The blonde was quick to widen his machiavellian angelic smile once he seemed to realise that Keito had noticed the detail.
"Well, what's the occasion for your visit?" he questioned without taking his eyes off the spot. He tried to take a peek, but the other idol kept getting in his way.
"Fufu, don't you know what day it is today?"
That question froze him for a few instants. He mentally reviewed in record time each and every one of the special dates with Eichi; their relationship anniversary, their birthdays, even the Quarrel Festival, annual global festivities... He even had to review dates they jokingly said to remember! He sentenced that he hadn't missed any, that day wasn't any significant one, he was teasing him, yes, that's what it was. The blonde seemed to find his altered reaction amusing, so he narrowed his eyes in response, his hand still taking care of his cheek.
"Eichi, what are you talking about? There's nothing today, and don't try to convince me otherwise because I trust my infallible memory." He warned him. "I can even show you a calendar and name each and every one of our special days."It would be another of his jokes, yes, it was the most valid conclusion to cling to. Besides, he would not forgive himself for missing a single date. His leg began to wobble rapidly, indicating that no matter how much he denied it, he was still nervous.
"Keito, I can't believe you don't know what day it is today." He saw him take out a small box wrapped behind his back, his expression turning into an attempt to be melancholic ─ "I had brought you this."
