«Welcome To Remnant!»

That's the first thing he saw when he woke up in what looked to be a cave - A couple of well-organized, floating words on a blue screen made out of the light that all but hinted at the impending cliche.

'The fact that I can properly process this madness in less than a second makes me question my sanity.'

"Good. It means that you're still human. Sincerely, I'm glad that you didn't become something akin to a robot as a result of our... Abrupt assimilation. One of me is more than enough. Then again, ever since finding myself here I'm feeling more human than I did in ages."

'A consequence of the assimilation process, no doubt.'

"More like a reward~ Seriously, I hadn't felt this good in such a long time."

'I'm glad. Oum's know you deserve it.'

"Not going to use God's name?"

'Well, excuse me if I'm feeling a bit angry at your father at the moment. I mean, come on, I know about holding a grudge against someone but...'

"I deserved it, you know? I didn't hold any animosity against father for what he did, either. The only thing I blame him for was him punishing my brother alongside me when it was all my fault."

'You're too forgiving...'

"Maybe. But I did make peace with him and my brother... in the end... that's all I wished for."

He still thought he was being too forgiving...

'I still think you're being too forgiving, Cain. Then again, what do I know?"

"More than anyone will ever be able to do so, considering our current situation."

'As it your father? The one who did this to us, I mean?'

"The assimilation? Yes. His work probably wanted us t-"

'Wait a minute... Us...?'

'Abel is here too, isn't he...?'

"Sleeping on his coffin, yes."

'There's a coffin on my mind, just great.'

"Well, it could be worse."

'How worse?'

"He could still have his 'Mad Enchantment' as to speak. Sincerely, it is the first time since our falling that I've ever seen him sleep so at peace. Which is why I didn't feel like waking him up just yet."

'I see... That's good to know. Abel deserves to have a soundly sleep for once.'

"I concur. Now, as I was explaining before - our assimilation was father work, there's no doubt about that. The gamer system, however? Oh, It irradiates a combination of excessive pride, corruption, sorrow, and plain evil. And there's only one being I know that irradiates the same type of energy in such world-shattering amounts... Lucifer."

'... Please, tell me you can do something about it.'

"I already did. Although, it was probably Lucifer's plan all along. Our father wanted us to experience humanity once more, even if it was by the eyes of another. Heck, even our emotions are linked... Good thing Abel will not go berserker, anymore, or you'd suffer a lot in the future. Sorry, I'm straying from the point I'm trying to make once again. The point is - our father wanted us to 'live' a bit more before going to heaven, and probably tried to put us in a good vessel - one morally attuned to the good side. Still, I can feel you're nothing as such, there's both Excessive good and excessive evil inside of you, which makes me think that Lucifer quite probably intercepted our souls and then assimilated us to you, alongside a gift of sorts, which is the gamer system. Who knew Lucifer to be a fan of RPGs? I did make the system completely yours, so you don't really have to worry. Then again, in this situation, it feels like I'm trading one evil for another, but oh well."

'I'm not that bad... I think? Sincerely, my memories are fuzzy at best. I don't even remember my name. I think I should give myself one, and considering we'd be stranded together for the foreseeable future, do you have an idea of a good-sounding one?'

"Hmm, considering the world he found ourselves in... how about, Aurelius? It means both 'Golden', and 'Gilded'. A color-based name fits just right. Still... There's your hair color to take into consideration too... Huh... Oh, how about Ebony as a surname? Sincerely, it is not that uncommon in this world. So, your full name would be something like, Aurelius Ebony. What do you think? Good? Bad?"

'Perfect, more like. Thanks, Cain.'

'Good... Now, what to do... Well... Let's start with the obvious, then. Status!'

AN: Short chapter just for starters. One thing I wanted to see if I could do here is to make the readers understand what's happening without having to explain what certain characters are doing and with only their dialogue. Tell me if I did a good job.

Also, I'm taking some liberties with both Cain and Abel, so don't complain if they act slightly differently. Also, the title should give you all a hint as to which Cain and Abel I'm using.

Lastly, I'm trying to write smut better so expect a lot on this book. Also, I'm not shy as to write any fetish, but don't worry, NTR are reserved mostly to those who deserve it, my universe, my rules. Oh, and don't complain about petite girls having a time in smut because while I don't do Lolis, I'll not shy away anymore from writing people like Neo or La Brava on it. Sincerely, it was one of the things that made me almost stop writing in the past. I mean, you can complain, but don't expect me to give a shit. I've also saved all my works in case some particularly nasty folks (mostly from Reddit) try to take it down, I'll just post it back under another name. Or in another site. Oh yeah, Ruby will be older here. As I said, no Lolis. The looks of the protagonist will be described next chapter.
