Rue looked at her phone that was the table. She huffed as she walked over and sat down. She typed on her phone for a moment before dialing a number. She put it on speaker before setting the phone down. It only ringed for a few moments before it was picked up.
"Eli stop it!" The girl on the line giggled before saying, "Hello?" Rue panicked but, if Mira was able to forgive Elliot she would be able to forgive her too right? Right.
"Mira?" Rue spoke low and quite. "It's, um, it's Rue." Rue spoke up a little louder and clear. "I know." Mira said. "Is everything okay?" Mira asked as her voice now turned into concern. "Uh, yeah. Everything's okay." Rue nodded her head as she thought she could see her.
"What do you want then Rue?" Mira's voiced filled with warmth and empathy. "I uh, I just wanted to call and apologize for uh not responding to you and um hitting Elliot. I didn't mean to but, I was just really angry you know. Can you tell him I'm sorry?" Rue explained as she was anxious about their response.
"Rue." Elliot's voice spoke. "Elly." Rue responded. "I've missed you." Elliot's voice soon turned into a sob. "I've missed you too!" Rue smiled as she heard him cry softly and passing the phone back to Mira. "Rue, we forgive you and we're also sorry." Mira said as she rubbed Elliot's back. "How...how do you know I'm being honest?" Rue cried.
"Because I just know okay. I just do." Mira said. Rue sniffled a bit. "I found out that Jules had gone through my room and found the suitcase. Not Elly. He didn't say anything and I'm so sorry!" Rue cried. "I should've believed him when he said he didn't do anything." "He forgives you too, Rue." Mira reassured the girl.
"Thank...thank you." Rue whipped her eyes.
"Thank you so much!"
