2 Months Ago. . .
AZALEA"Now what are the rules again?"
Ryder looked down at me before his eyes flickered down to my fingers that were currently tying his tie for him.
He exhaled deeply. "Smile. Ask if they have any questions and most importantly, make them feel welcomed."
I smiled big, stepping back. I laid my hands on my hips and took in Ryder. His hair was nicely washed and combed, he wore back slacks and a nice blue shirt with a black tie.
It was kinda funny seeing him dressed all fancy like this. I only ever see him dress like this when he goes to work which is twice a week.
Ryder is a manager at the nearby restaurant and today, he was welcoming two new employees. He was gonna train them and help them out with whatever they need.
"You're gonna do great," I tell him honestly.
He half smiled, his eyes softening. "I love you." He murmurs.
A bit taken off guard by that comment coming out of no where, I simply smile because my heart is exploding. "I love you too," I whisper back.
He opens his arm out and I walk into his embrace. I wrap my arms around his waist and I feel him softly wrap his arms around my small figure.
I breathe in his familiar scent and close my eyes. I really love this guy a lot. Like a lot.
He softly kisses my neck and we draw back. His eyes flickered to my lips and I smile leaning in. He kisses me softly on the lips. Once. Twice.
We release each other and my eyes widen. "You're gonna be late."
He rolls his eyes as he walks into the kitchen. "Yes yes. Thank you for reminding me Miss Walking Clock."
I follow him into the kitchen and cross my arms. "I just want you to make a good impression."
He smirks looking back over at me as he grabs his jacket off of the kitchen table. "I don't know what you're talking about. I always make a good impression."
I roll my eyes with a smile playing on my lips. He walks back over to me as he throws his jacket on. "What time do your parents get home?"
I cast a glance at the clock on the wall. "Probably within the next hour."
Ryder raises his eyebrows. "Well do you wanna come with me to work then?"
I smile. He was cute. "I'd love to but I have homework to catch up on. Plus, I'd just order a plate of food then leave." It's not like we could hang out.
Ryder throws his jacket on. "That plate of food would be free. Who wouldn't want free food, love?"
I playfully shove him away. "Go," I chuckle. "You're gonna be late. And if you're late then no food for either of us because you'd be fired."
Ryder scoffs as I open the door for him. "Ryder McKenzie doesn't get fired. He gets promoted." He winks.
I'd kiss that smirk off of his face but he actually was really gonna be late. "I'll see you after work." I wave at him.
"Sounds good." He gives me one last kiss before he jogs off to his car.
I close the door and sigh, leaning my back against the wall. The whole rest of the day, I was cooped up in my room finishing up a lot of homework. As well as studying. Finals were coming up and I really wanted to be prepared.
I heard my parents get home three hours ago but I didn't bother to go downstairs. I didn't need a lecture on any stupid little thing.
I casted a glance at the time on my phone.
