♣︎Chapter 17: bus ride♣︎

Lizzy's POV:
*buzz... Buzz.. Bu-*
I quickly turned of the alarm on my phone and checked the time.

3.06 a.m.
~
"Wait.. What? I never put my alarm on 3 a.m.?" I was about to go back to sleep when I realized.. "FUCK! I FORGOT ABOUT THE TRIP! " I shot awake, I jumped out of bed and went to the closet to grab some clothes to wear after my shower.

I am supposed to be there at 3a.m. cause the flight is at 6a.m! Oh no no no! I rushed down the hallway and went to the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast. I brought my back pack and a suitcase with me since the trip will be in a week.
"Lizzy? What's withe the commotion? " I heard Elliot mumbled, rubbing his eye. "I have to be at school at 3 a.m but now it's 3.45 a.m! "
"Isn't the bus gonna be gone at 5 a.m? "
"YEA I KNOW I AM LATE! "
"Gosh Lizzy.. Don't panic, you're not late at all, come on fix your hair and I eat proper breakfast, I will be changing my clothes for a second. "
".. Alright.. " I sighed, gave in the taught that I am not late just excited. It's my first trip, I don't want to miss it. I made myself a bowl of Rice Krispy and comb my hair properly.
The whole time I was tapping my foot vigorously and tempted. "Alright.. Let's go" I see Elliot getting out of his room, with his keys in his pocket.
I grabbed my things and rushed down the apartment hallway, "Jezz, you're really excited,aren't you? " Elliot chuckled, as we make our way towards the apartment basement.

"Yes, yes... Love you, buhbye! " I shut the door, carrying my things and putting it on the stairs. I took out my phone to check the time.

4.32a.m.

Oh wow, I guess I am early. I sat down in the concrete floor and waited for other students that participated in this trip.
"Love you hunny! "
"Love you to mom.. "
I heard a car drop off, and a familiar voice spoke. I looked up a bit to see Alan, with his suitcase. I look back down again and I heard him sighed and his suitcase drops.
"Lizzy.. Look, I am sorry I didn't mean it okay? "
"..."
"Look... I-i was just.. Jealous alright.. "
"... Why? "
"Because, you spend time more with him then me.. "
"Because you have a lot of people fawning all over you"
"Yea.. But, ah never mind.. Are we cool? "I turned to look at him and smiled, " yea were cool.. " "sweet! " he chuckled.
He started to tell me all sorts of stories about himself until Britney came.
It's now 4.58a.m. but still no sign of Jeff. I got worried a little but I still consider him being fine, I hope. I waited, and waited and waited. A lot of students already have their friends around while I just sat alone.
Alan left for his friends, and my other friends didn't came cause they had to study. I sighed, starting to gave up but then I felt a slight tap on my shoulder.
I turned around, I saw no one and another tap. I turned around again, and no one. "Hey love~" I heard a whisper near my ear, "AH- WHAT THE -" I yelled, my mouth was quickly covered.
"Jeff! What the- you jerk! " I yelled, he laughed at my reaction.
"What? I thought you would be excited but I saw you completely sad, so decide to surprise you. " he smiled, while I grumble.
I looked around, everyone didn't heard my yelling. Thank god! "I thought you won't came.. "
"And leave you, I wish "
"Dick head"

"Alright! Alright, settle down students, we have an announcement. " I stopped my bickering with Jeff and switch my attention towards the teachers.
"I know you all are excited, but we have some rules. First, you must stay together in all times, but if you wanna go to the bathroom find the teacher. Secondly, when we arrived at the hotel, we will assign you with your roommate and I there won't be any complaints. And lastly, when we are at the flight, we will give the tickets out of random but who requested to sit with their friends or family will get to sit beside each other. "
The teacher put down her long ass rules of papers down, "Any questions? " no one answer, and the teachers proceeds to let us do whatever we want before the bus came.
I look at my phone to check the time.

5.09 a.m.
~
What? I thought the bus would be here already. Where is it? I bit my lip in frustration, Jeff noticed my action.
"You okay? "
"No.. "
"What's wrong? "
"The bus should be here already.. "
"What? "
"The bus should be here at 5 now it's 5.10.."
"You do know the bus actually arrives at 5.30 .. Right? " I turned to him, my eyes widen. My body froze in embarrassment. My cheeks began to heat, so I covered my face.
I could here Jeff burst out of laughter. I slap his arm, and hides my face on my bag. "Oh calm down love, we all make mistakes.. "
"What's with the nicknames? "
"Just felt appropriate. "
"Alright... Joker. " I chuckled, but Jeff didn't take it as a joke. I notice he froze at his spot, he looked shocked. It's like he had seen a ghost
"Hey.. You okay? I was just joking.. "
He looked at me, tilting his head and giving me this creepy smile. "Are you really joking or.. ", " I am joking.. God rub that creepy smile of your face. "I shivered, but the feeling slowly got away when I heard the bus.
I squealed in excitement, and hooked my backpack on my arm.
"Alright students, line up, one by one. " people began to line up, and I ran towards the line with my backpack and suitcase.

I saved a spot for Jeff so I could sit with him the whole ride to the airport.
As we went in the bus I sat near the window while, still holding a seat for Jeff since I told him to take care if my luggage. As soon as I saw him, I waved clearly so he could see me.
"Thank u! " I smiled, he rolled his eyes and plugged his earphones. My smile turned into a frown because I thought I would talk to him this whole ride but I guess I won't.
I took out my headphones, and connected it with my phone so I could also chill on the way to the airport. I scroll down my Spotify and selected a song.

I smiled at my cursed taste of music. Still this song is quite fun to listen to. I laid my head near the window as the bus soon to depart.
My eyes grew heavy and I soon falled asleep.

I jolted awake by loud music in my ears, I took of my headphones. Breathing heavily, I look out of the window, how long was I asleep for?
I look towards where the other students were, most of them were bullying and gossiping but some of them are sleeping and listening to music.
I looked at Jeff, and his skin looks pale. I didnt want to wake him but he looked like he was frozen or something. I shake him awake. "Hey.. You look pale... Is something wrong? " he was avoiding eye contact but I
shrugged it off unless it's something serious.
"I... Will be right back. " he went off to go to the bus bathroom I guess. I looked back at my phone, 5.48 a.m. eh alright I was asleep for quite sometime. "Hey! " I heard a boy called but I ignore it, "Talking to you, blue hood" I turned my head to be meet some playboy with his friends.
I looked at the front to ask the teachers for help but they all are busy talking stuff. I looked back at them, and gave then a small smile and looked back at my phone.
"Awhhh, is that all you got small cheeks? " ew what the, I looked at them in disgust.
"Darling, I suggest you fuck off before I kicked you're balls until they fall off. " I suggested, and averted my gaze back to my phone.
I thought they would leave me alone, but one of them pulled my hood down, revealing my brown locks. I looked back at them, mad and furious as they make up dumb pick up lines.
But the line was crossed as one of them tried to take of my hood, I screamed for the teacher. The bus stopped, and the boy let go of my hoodie and went back towards he seat.
The teachers helped me and scolded the boys for misbehaving, and so threatened them if they did it again.
"We just played some harmless joke.. "
"A harmless joke trying to take off someone's else's clothing? Yea I don't think so mister. "
"What's so special about her? She does nothing and study.. "
"She's the daughters detective mister and the person who made the bundle of funding for this trip. "
A felt all eyes on me, I sinked down on my sit and began to play on my phone. The music still loud but not to loud for me to not go deaf.
I felt footsteps and soon the bus moved. As I was playing my phone, trying to avoid everybody's eyes on me, Jeff came out of the bathroom.
He looked... Normal now. I smiled and asked him what happened. He just told me that he sometimes gets sick if he didn't take his medication. For the first time I know that Jeff had taken medication.
I smiled and went back playing on my phone.
