As soon as Craig agreed to move in, she called downstairs to claim an apartment. However...
"So we have someone who wants our last 2 bedroom but they haven't put down anything. We need a security deposit and fees ASAP."
So let's just say that everything happened really fast. Luckily since Craig worked nights he was able to take care of the actual moving during the day while Adena was at work. Less stress for her. However, he was exhausted during the move. They both were relieved when it was finished. He thought it would be peachy moving 10 floors down. He flopped down on the couch as the movers left and he was knocked out in seconds flat.
At 5 months, Adena and Missy spent their free time shopping for everything baby. Cribs, clothes, diapers and toiletries, toys, etc. They bonded more on these shopping trips. Adena was grateful to still have Missy in her corner. Did Missy know? Probably, she didn't say it to her face or anything, she had a feeling she understood how much she meant to her by now anyway. Right?
"Two-way radio?" Missy asked as she picked it up and read the box. "You a heavy sleeper?"
"Throw it in. Can't be too careful. Oh grab the cameras too" Adena said as she checked the items off her list. They also had a baby seat that they can put in the tub for the baby to sit in for baths. "I think that's enough for today," she said as she tried to add everything up in her head.
"Are you sure you don't want to know what the sex is? How long are you going to wait?"
"No, I actually want to be surprised," Adena said with a shrug as they headed to the register. However, Missy did a dramatic show of acting like she was going to faint.
"OMG!" Missy said as she hung onto the shelf next to her. A few expectant mothers looked over at them.
"Chill out girl, people are looking," Adena said as she moved faster away from her. "What is wrong with you?"
"You. Adena Capricorn, want to actually be surprised for once!? What's gotten into you? Are you ok? Are you sick?"
"Girl please calm down," Adena said as she swatted at her. "It's not really a surprise if I know it's coming." She also had full control of it, no one was to ever find out. She wasn't even sure if she wanted a gender reveal party.
"Next thing you know you're going to want a surprise party," Missy said as she nudged her.
"Harty har har, are you done?" Adena said sarcastically as they went to self-checkout. "I want the delivery to be special. I feel it won't be if I know what the sex is. Besides, I've been buying unisex colors and I have a copy of every receipt."
"What do you want it to be?" Missy asked her as she helped her with the bags and they wheeled the cart out of the store.
"I...in all my dreams, she's a girl. I want a girl."
"Awww yeah a little mini you. I can't wait to meet her. She's going to be adorable. I'm gonna make her into one of those viral babies. I'll be her personal stylist and have her wearing baby Gucci, baby Prada, baby Fashion Nova."
