Chapter One Broken Glasses

"What's wrong, mitchy? You've been sighing so much in just few seconds"?
My mom asked me worriedly.
  "Mom, I'm really anxious." I replied, biting my nails in anxiety and nervousness.
" Dear, you're just starting in a new school and you are a good person, good things will surely come your way and besides, you have your best friend, Lory with you, So you're not alone, okay"? My mom said and her words made me feel a lot better and I gave her a tight hug.
    " Now get dressed,so you won't go late on your first day in Seaview High school". She added then left me alone in my room.
    ' Hey, I forgot to introduce myself,my bad. I'm Mitchell Enrile, yes, my mom's from the US, while my dad's a Philippine, and we are a really comfortable rich family and I'm the only child BUT not a spoilt brat. We've been living in the Philippines for the past 17 years and only moved to the US last month and finding a new school for me wasn't a problem because my best friend's dad is based in the US but Lory, her mom and siblings lived in the Philippines also for 13 years then moved to the US, so they've been there like for 4 to 5 years now.
So I'll be attending Seaview High school cause Lory's there and to continue my academics because this would be my last year in high school and I'm so glad I'd be graduating with my childhood bestie, Yipeee'.
" Mitchy, come downstairs Lory's here". My mom called from downstairs and I jumped in excitement, took my school bag and flew down....
   " Lory?!!" I shouted in happiness as I sighted her
"Mitchie!!!!" She screamed and ran to hug me tightly,
"I've missed you sooo much, Mitchy". Lory said as she crossed my elbow in hers tightly like a married couple.
"Me too, Lot". I replied smiling at my bestie.
  Okay mum, bye". I said as she gave me a brief hug and waved at us.
         At Seaview High School
"OMG, Lory..This school's dope" I exclaimed with my mouth opened in amazement.
" You haven't seen anything yet Mitch" Lory said as she dragged me along with her. She talked about the school and the people in it, literally everyone in it.
  " Oh my glasses". I said trying to recall if I had forgotten them at home. I opened my bag and I found my big nerdy glasses staring at me and I heaved a sigh of relief and put them on.
  "Oh noo mitchy, don't tell me you're gonna be looking like a nerd even in your last year in high school?" Lory asked me with a little anger and was certainly expecting a befitting reply (probably expecting me to take them off that instant)..
  " Lor, you know I'm not putting on this glasses to look like a nerd. I can't see properly without them that's why I take them with me wherever I go". I replied calmly then smiled at her and she just shook her head and smiled back.
Then suddenly, I began to hear girls scream and run all over the school (like in those Philippine movies I watch, when the hero is coming in with his friends beside him 🤦 and the girls begin to scream and drool over them).....
   " He's here" Lory screamed jovially
" Who's here??" I asked my bestie because I didn't understand anything happening around me, Lory was looking soooo crazy to me
   " Jason Smith Enrile" she finally replied still in a scream
  " What?! Enrile!!? We have the same surname?" I asked
" Yeah, such a great coincidence. Com'on let's go". Lory said and dragged me before I could ask "where to"??
All girls in the whole of Seaview High school had gathered in the school's hallway and were screaming just one name 'Jason' ,
"Who's this Jason guy,??"  I asked Lory
"He's the hottest,cutest and most popular guy in Seaview High." She replied piercing her way into the  crowd
"Soooo???" I couldn't still get the whole thing
"Look mitchy, he's coming over to our direction" Lory said blushing and stamping her feet excitedly
" I know, I know I can see that okay. So please calm down girl". I replied laughing at my best friend
I actually haven't seen 'the Jason' guy yet because of the crowd, so I decided to just go over to my locker and arrange my books there with Lory.
   After so much pleading she decided to arrange her books in her locker, I took some important textbooks and was about entering into the classroom when Lory stopped me so that I could see Jason .
"Loorryy" I said tiredly
" Wait a little mitchy, he's almost here". She replied staring at me softly so I agreed .
While trying to balance the books I was holding, some girls hit me while trying to see 'the guy' I fell to the floor and my glasses too , I bent to pack my books but as I reached for my glasses, a male shoe stepped on one side of my glasses and  it crushed into pieces.
